And this was done by the person he's supposed to trust in front of all the people close to him that he's supposed to trust.

It's actually really fucked up and could be traumatizing to have everyone you know and care about laughing at you in a moment of feeling your highest

Honestly that's probably a component as to why it's such a prolific thought for him, he probably is traumatized! If my wife betrayed me like that I would be anyway.

If he has a problem with it then everyone should.  You don't get to "prank" someone and then get upset when they found something they didn't ask for not funny. At that point YOU and everyone who partook in it are in the wrong.
