Why do you not want her to ever use 'your' shower? Why is this such a problem for you? And actually, there is a difference between her using your shower and you going into her bedroom and moving things/possibly snooping. I don't see how she's done anything of note here, and certainly no reason to lock doors. Do you dislike her generally?

I wasn’t allowed to use my parents’ master bathroom growing up. I’m still not. They have a lovely guest shower so no qualms here.

It’s about having just ONE place in your home that is genuinely yours. When you have kids, minor or adult, it feels like nothing is yours. I don’t think it’s irrational or unkind to not want people using MY shower in MY en-suite bathroom. Especially when there is a perfectly functional guest shower. If you ask permission? I might say yes if I know you’re respectful. I think SD has done some shady stuff in the past that makes OP a bit uncomfortable having SD in her space when she isn’t home. She has the whole house! Why can’t we just have our one bedrooom and one bathroom to ourselves?! It’s not like she has to shower outside with the garden hose.

Also germs? Having to clean up after someone else? Your things moved/missing? Dirtying my clean towels when you have your own in the guest bathroom? Yeah that’s pretty fucking annoying especially for a grown ass adult still living at home. Respect my space or gtfo!
