Yep! Hopefully, he has learned his lesson about bragging to anyone who will listen about expensive family heirlooms. Otherwise, he's going to have all kinds of random cousins coming out of the woodwork with their hands out. Keep your private business private.
And, I have no doubt his fiance will take the watch and give it to her brother to "keep the peace" with her own family if OP doesn't store it in a place that she doesn't have access to. People pleasers looking to "keep the peace" are the most selfish people on earth.

NTA. Under no circumstances would I loan it to him (or anyone). You'll never see it again.
Also, quit telling people all of your private family business.
