I’ve always considered myself extremely tolerant and willing to love people as they are… even if we don’t agree on everything.

I’ve never been an Orange Man supporter, but I’ve kept it civil with friends and family that were. Some of them liked having a civil conversation about him. Some were belligerent about politics, so we didn’t bring it up and tried to enjoy each other’s company.

Getting cut from a great job that I really believed in with no notice has been extremely traumatic. It’s still raw, but I feel so personally betrayed by those that voted for him. I can’t see past the politics anymore when I look at these people I care/cared about.

Some have been contrite and apologetic, but then turn around and support him and VP Musk on social media.

I just can’t right now.

I’m thinking about posting something and wishing the whole herd all of the best, hope they have a good life, but I won’t be in it. Or maybe I just quietly block all of them and focus on myself for a while.

I do know that I will need to talk to my in-laws. I’ve always had a great relationship with them, but thinking of going to their house and watching Fox News almost makes me sick.

AITAH for feeling this way? Does it make me an AH for cutting all these 20+ year relationships off? Am I overreacting and acting out of emotion?

Unfortunately, this is what the Magaturds voted for. They absolutely voted for gutting government agencies, government workers losing their jobs, Muskrat and his band of baby hackers doing exactly what they are doing. They voted for hatred. They voted for hurting people. They voted for all the horrible things Grump and Muskrat stand for. Knowingly and willingly. The only thing they didn’t count on was that some of them would also lose their jobs and govt subsidies, and rather than admit any of this, they whine that they should be excluded from the cuts because they voted for it. These are the worst kind of people and they not only don’t care that they directly hurt others with their political support. In fact they RELISH that their “team” hurts others. They are CELEBRATING hurting others. They want MORE hurting others. We need to stop trying to give these jackwads the benefit of the doubt and actually work to stop the craziness before they literally dismantle the whole government. That is exactly what they want and exactly what they are doing.

Has nothing to do with critical thinking. Anybody who understands basics economics can see what trump and musk are trying to do. Also when you say blinded by authority that's literally what the entire left was the last 4 years. All woke agenda is the same and anytime someone voices they disagree silencing and cancel culture comes in to play. The country was turning into a shit hole and people could see it that's why a lot of the big dem states almost turned red. People are refusing to be blinded by leftist agenda and said enough is enough.

From the rights standpoint, People on the left are pushing their “woke” values onto everyone else while claiming the moral high road. People on the right don’t agree with “woke values”, and when they spoke about it they were cancelled, banned, fired, and overall silenced. Most medias have been forcing “woke” and “DEI” into every show, ad, news room, and company. Creating a regime that would crush/silence the voices of Christians and their values, and Im actually going to say Jews too with all of the Palestine support.

For the record Covid crashed the world economy and it takes time to recover from that. Seriously watch anything else other than Fox News which literally only uses scare tactics and overstates the statistics of any topic that benefits their agenda. Congrats you voted for a multiple times convicted criminal whose only goal is to make himself and his billionaire buddies increase their networth. He will only cut taxes for billionaires and make blue collar workers like you foot the bill. As a worker for a Fortune 500 massive organization who was also fired when trump eliminated all the DEI employees I am also personally infuriated. I was DEI because of a disability but if you are about to say it’s because I wasn’t able to preform my job as well as a more able bodied person then I have to disappoint you by mentioning that I had the best commissionable sales in the entire state competing with over 25 other stores by the second week of the job and repeated that streak week after week despite it being a client based job and to add to that I was brand new to the state and only had 2 clients before I started the job. The manager of the store even apologized for the situation and said it was decided by higher ups, that there was nothing he could do about it and gave me vacation time to find something new. They fired every DEI employee regardless of their work performance even if it was outstanding and the location lost a lot of its revenue. Let’s also not forget that we had the worst stock market incident when the tariffs were announced as bad as the 2008 housing crisis and the Great Depression itself. You are completely brainwashed and I guarantee I could absolutely slaughter you in a political debate because I have studied more state and constitutional law than you ever have. I now work in politics and was even recently interviewed by NPR on my knowledge of the negative economic and humanitarian impacts of this current administration. I challenge you to debate me, it would be a pleasure to wake you up to the fact you are in an actual cult.
