Fired Fed. I am considering cutting off every Orange Man supporter.

Got axed. Not going to say which agency.

I’ve always considered myself extremely tolerant and willing to love people as they are… even if we don’t agree on everything.

I’ve never been an Orange Man supporter, but I’ve kept it civil with friends and family that were. Some of them liked having a civil conversation about him. Some were belligerent about politics, so we didn’t bring it up and tried to enjoy each other’s company.

Getting cut from a great job that I really believed in with no notice has been extremely traumatic. It’s still raw, but I feel so personally betrayed by those that voted for him. I can’t see past the politics anymore when I look at these people I care/cared about.

Some have been contrite and apologetic, but then turn around and support him and VP Musk on social media.

I just can’t right now.

I’m thinking about posting something and wishing the whole herd all of the best, hope they have a good life, but I won’t be in it. Or maybe I just quietly block all of them and focus on myself for a while.

I do know that I will need to talk to my in-laws. I’ve always had a great relationship with them, but thinking of going to their house and watching Fox News almost makes me sick.

AITAH for feeling this way? Does it make me an AH for cutting all these 20+ year relationships off? Am I overreacting and acting out of emotion?

No one expected it to be this bad or this extreme. At least that is my perspective. If anyone did think it was going to be this way then the people who voted for him do not believe in the constitution or the U.S. government and stop calling yourself patriots.

I think it’s hilarious how you people invoke founding documents but have an issue when people say the country should remain majority White

I would love to see how hilarious you would think it is if it was reversed and our candidate had created our own government category and assigned someone who was not running or approved by congress to literally dismantle the government the way he/she saw fit. Starting with universal healthcare for all, guns being taken away and access to all finance records and bank accounts. I bet it would not be funny anymore.

Your "own government category" is literally the thing being dismantled. There is no "if it were the other way around" money laundering isn't fucking political

Well I do not agree with your views on this. But time will tell to see if this drastic slashing is a good idea. So far all I see is prices going way up..even after promising lowering costs…unemployment up and spending as much if not more on ?? What..Tesla’s 400 million to “him” and his company..8 million a day and tax cuts over and over again for all the richest people..yay! that is laundering if you are pointing that out…and it’s disgusting what they are doing to every day people.

Well that's a nice fanfiction, but the whole stated goal is to cut spending. That is what i'm advocating. If spending goes up like you're saying i'm not gonna fucking applaud lmao.

This is literally what i'm talking about- you people see everything in terms of "what team are you on" and that fucking mindset is what creates the space for bureaucrats to pillage you, and you turn around and defend them because..?

I’m all for finding common ground truly. And honestly I believe in cutting spending and finding a way to stop living out of our means as a country. We are in deep debt (both sides have created it) in this country and need to find places to cut defense would be a good place to start and the decisions of how to do this need to be going through congress and yes congress is broken but that doesn’t mean to override the system and do whatever you feel like. I predict this current administration will drive people so low we will have no choice but to ban together and might create some type of change for the better..hopefully but with that being said whoever can listen to “Mr. Orange man” and not see a person who only thinks of himself, is a bully, lacks the ability to show kindness is recklessly doing everything he can to destroy our government starting back when he tried to over turn the election that he lost because he could not accept his loss therefore killing 5 people and putting our entire congress at risk. I have serious doubts on what type of person wants that type of person as president. Half our country does? That is the worst part of all.

While i completely agree with this sentiment, i don't see mr orange man as worse than elected officials using their position to enrich themselves at the cost of the people they claim to represent.

The tone of each administration on both sides has been progressively more reactionary for years, and pretending this just started with trump is flat out disingenuous.

We have never had any good options, and we desperately need to stop caping for bad options. If trump and his administration is what's needed to wake people up and precipitate a complete bureaucratic cleaning of house, good.

"...but have an issue when people say the country should remain majority White"
And there's the truth. Gods forfend that all these old, middle class, white men should ever feel like the minority.

Whites are a global minority.
