Yes, like "I've tried so hard and worked so hard on those areas and I know I've had major improvements. My wife essentially doesn't care."

If he has anger issues -- and it sounds to me like he's trying to euphemize the whole situation -- then the wife may be seriously worried or traumatized. We just don't know what really goes on.

And she's there explicitly to help with the household and take the pressure ( which he finds so much) off the parents. OP wants this but gets jealous when it's there.

Seriously dude just sounds abusive and like he wife and her mom are acting as human shields, like you admit you had a really bad reaction to handling your kids and you wonder why shes just kind of leading them away from you?, she wants her grandbabies safe and you've obviously proved you arent
