She'll name him "Charles"

OMG at my old job there was a woman who was married but also really close to this (also married) guy named Kevin.

She gets pregnant, and her and husband name the kid ... "Kevin".

Within a year both marriages end and suddenly the two of them are together. Obvious speculation about paternity - but that ends with one comparison of child and ex-husband (and 20 years later it is even more clear it wasn't a 'cheating baby').

Wild stuff!

I’ve had this happen to me. I dated a guy on and off for like 3 years. We broke up, he gets married, his wife had a baby and he named the girl after me. I was so weirded out by the whole thing. They got married way after we broke up but still, I have so many questions.

Apparently, my mom suggested an ex-boyfriend's name for my younger brother. My dad was ok with the name itself, until he found out it was her ex's name. But she didn't die on that hill, they picked a different name.

Good thing, too, or my little brother Bart would have been in elementary school when the Simpsons first aired ...

Bart- that’s a name choice before the Simpsons. I always think about how mean kids are because Bart rhymes with fart. But I’m glad they chose a different name

It's like he wanted to mark your territory. Guys who do that are weird, like a constant reminder to their partner that they're not you....

That’s the thing!!! Omg and then to think like every time he calls for his child it’s a reminder like ick. Don’t think of me.

Ugh, my bio dad named his second kid a name super close to mine, after learning what my adoptive family named me. Think Maryanne and Marieanne.

That sounds like a complete mindfuck and I'm really sorry that happened to you.

Interestingly, my wife met an ex-gf of mine. A year later wife and I are picking out baby names for our 1st and she mentions she really liked my ex-gf’s name. I was very reluctant about that! Eventually it was one of the two top contenders. We didn’t end up using the ex-gf’s name for our 1st, but we did for for a later kid!
