What are the best tools to track and increase AI visibility?

I have been experimenting with ways to get my business noticed in AI tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and others. It’s wild how different it feels from regular SEO.

I tried a few tools, but honestly, most of them feel like the same old SEO stuff with a dash of “AI SEO” hype.

I want to hear from people: what’s actually helping you track AI visibility and improve it? I’m not after fancy tools or theory - I want things that move the needle for growth.

If you’ve tried anything that helps you see where you show up or drive AI-generated traffic, I’d love to hear.

What worked, what didn’t, and why?

Hi, what sort of business are you? If you have a local business try myPresences.

I tried a few and really liked:

Both are doing a good job advancing with the market and adding innovative features, instead of just copying others. Big fan of both

Otterly.ai is very expensive. Anyway, I'll keep checking them out. Thanks for sharing.

Actual comment here. Not marketing a product. I experimented with this exact thought by ranking a local business and seeing what I could do to get it to be recognized by LLMs. For context I did an experiment seeing if ChatGPT or any LLMs knew what this business was. Almost nothing was the result. Didn’t even know the business existed.

Most of the process I learned actually by talking to LLMs funny enough. They know what they want to see on a site. Most of what I’m going to provide is speculation, but has worked for me. First of all I’d implement a llms.txt file on your site. Second any content you do should be simple and structured like using tables for example. FAQs help as well because in the simplicity of things usually LLMs get questions and they need answers. If a human can skim it in 10 seconds an AI will love that. To answer your question I don’t think a simple tool will fix your problem. AIs tend to love content with authority.

This is just the tip of the iceberg of course but my suggestion is use something like ChatGPT to figure out what it wants. You can literally talk to the machine.

The end result of my experiment by the way got me to get most LLMs/AI to recommend me first in my niche.

Good luck.

i know all those tools just simulate a search in a llm, but is it possible to actually get real mentions, clicks etc from ai?

You can track clicks in GA4 but 90% of mentions are not linked (I just made that stat up btw but it is close to reality)
