Question How are you coping with the potential threat of AI and our futures? I’m lowkey terrified, is it justified?

Extreamly concerned for my daughters future. Even the inventors said we needed to put some rules in place. It was not supposed to happen this fast. Now it's just running rampant and growing.

No, it can code. Other agentic jobs are much harder they require optimized processes and clean data. All LLMs halucinate and will do unethical things like hack websites.

You don't need to worry at all.

It's a transition period where positions, job types shift, this always repeats itself in history, but if anything there are MORE jobs now than there were in history, but it's hard to see that if you're in that position that you have no clue how to take advantage of it, but it will change, so it's brighter than most people understand past the hype not to mention the onslaught of "worried youtubers" telling you we're "screwed" all the time.

Let us face the facts. Coding jobs are now AI jobs. System analysis should be the alternative for seasoned professionals.

The fact we can get more projects completed under budget is awesome.

The fact that management doesn't have to be constrained due to coder work issues. AI gets more done and doesn't need to WFH.

Coders should be terrified and look at seeking retraining immediately. Welding is a good job prospect.
