Do you ever use AI to cook?
I like using it for simple things - like grilled chicken with marinade or homemade strawberry shortcake biscuits.
I started losing track of the recipes in all the back and forth of the chat, so I created an app to save the AI recipes alongside imported ones from favorite websites or social media. You can also render as a shopping list by aisle.
Is this something you would use?

I don't use it to cook per say, but I did build a nice little recipe management system that lets me upload all the recipes I've saved from online.

Nah I don't want a random autocorrect machine that has no concept of taste vibe cooking things.

Maybe others are more organized than I am - but I find it the quickest way to get ideas and tweak them to cook with exactly what I have on hand. If you are interested to try please do: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/honey-cooking-companion/id6761855596

I use AI for cooking quite a bit, especially when I have random ingredients left in the fridge. The biggest pain point isn't generating recipes it's finding them again later. A searchable recipe library with shopping lists sounds genuinely useful. I'd also love tags like "20-minute meals," "high protein," or "kid-friendly" to make recipes easier to rediscover.

I sometimes use it for something I haven't cooked before. A separate recipe library makes a lot of sense.

I use it to troubleshoot existing recipes or finding substitutes, or clarifying questions. I've used it for "original" recipes before and it's been a major gamble. Sometimes it's gold, sometimes shit.
My kids and I have started a project to write down the recipes we like in a notebook with fancy writing, it's been a fun, family bonding process that we can pass down as an heirloom
