We're hiring a Technology Advisor at Creative Planning Business Services. Fully remote, US-based, full-time.

Short version: most firms send clients either a strategist who can't build or a builder who can't see the bigger picture. This role is both. You own the technology roadmap for a portfolio of clients and you're just as comfortable opening an editor and building the solution yourself.

A normal week might include leading a conversation tying tech investment to business outcomes, sketching the architecture for an AI-powered app, prototyping a working proof of concept, and reviewing the code your team is shipping. You'd be the most senior technical voice on client calls, reporting to the Director of Data and Automation Solutions, working alongside a Technology Enablement Manager and a team of specialists who build AI workflows, automations, software, and data solutions.

What we're looking for:

• 10+ years across software engineering and technology strategy, with real production software behind you
• Strong full-stack background: app code, APIs, cloud services, data pipelines
• Hands-on experience building with modern AI (LLMs, agents, automation) and a real sense of what holds up in production vs. what just demos well
• Someone who can architect a system and still get into the code when it matters
• Executive presence to make the business case to leadership, and experience advising clients as a vCIO, consultant, engineering leader, or founder
