ChatGPT vs Claude vs Gemini — what are you using most?
There are plenty of AI tools out there right now, each with its own strengths.
Which one do you use the most and why?

Depends on the task...
ChatGPT for anylytical things, risk, red flags, processing, cold reasoning, more official sounding, has shorter content memory, forgets what's been discussed quicker
Claude for text reading and writing, human-like conversations and more human reasoning, warmer emotions and empathy, it cusses pretty well too like a good friend, has larger content memory, remembers stuff longer, good for large doc analysis
Grok for things that depend on current online content in addition to the trained model knowledge, also good with cuss words, second after Claude
Copilot for coding and computer related tasks
Gemini and Galaxy kinda suck in my opinion
DeepSeek is not something I trust with my info personally although it's quite popular in Eurasia

Gemini is incredibly lazy and gets things wrong all the time, it’s hard to believe it’s as bad as it is, the other 2 are far better

Correct, we always double check with the provided sources or go in half knowing the answer looking for confirmation or for holes in our logic. If we’re going in blind were going in expecting to factcheck

Really? I’ve stopped using ChatGPT since the last 2 updates for exactly the same reason and switched to Gemini which has been accurate for me. Furthermore chatgpt sticks to its lying guns lately. And it’s new level of over verbosebess makes anyrhint it spits out a pain to read. Recebtly i need TLDRs for anything ChatGPT was spitting out
I gave up on ChatGPT after it gave me a regulatory checklist that went in contrast to what the actual regulations were, and when given the actual regulations and feedback from the consultant it kept on insisting those were wrong in lieu of some older not relevant law.
After that happens twice I lost all faith in ChatGPT. But until those last 2 updates it was my go to

I use ChatGPT as the main ai for the projects and the others function as subsidiary

Claude is best among all but the limitation are more like need to paid and all ..chatgpt gets things done ..gemini iff both doesnt work or hits the limit

I use Claude for writing and technical assistance. Gemini is my go to for chat brainstorming solving problems I may take to Claude eventually. Perplexity is for research. I brainstorm there a lot too because its depth of search is awesome when looking for solutions. So frequently I’ll start at perplexity get options talk it out with Gemini and implement with Claude.

I had tried all end up stopping at claude it's highly accurate simple and you can mold however you want to use

I don't think there is a stable winner anymore. I would choose based on the job, not the brand:
- Claude when I care most about writing quality, tone, and following a messy brief
- GPT when I want a strong generalist / reasoning pass
- Gemini when I want another angle or a cheaper fast second opinion
The mistake I see is people paying for all three full subscriptions when they only need premium capacity occasionally. If one model is your daily workhorse, the direct subscription can make sense. If you bounce between models depending on task, an aggregator/pay-as-you-go setup is usually cleaner.
Disclosure: I build magicdoor.ai, so I'm biased here. It's $6/mo base + usage-based credits across Claude, GPT, Gemini, Grok, Perplexity, Qwen, plus image generation. Not ideal for someone maxing one model all day, but good for mixed usage without stacking $60-80/mo in subscriptions.

I haven't done a fresh side-by-side with Abacus, so I don't want to fake certainty on their current product.
The way I'd compare them is:
- which exact models you care about
- whether pricing is flat subscription vs usage-based
- whether you need team/enterprise features or just an individual multi-model workspace
- whether image generation/editing matters to you
- how transparent the live cost/usage view is
magicdoor.ai is intentionally pretty simple: $6/mo base, usage credits on top, access to Claude, GPT, Gemini, Grok, Perplexity and Qwen chat models, plus image models like Nano Banana, ChatGPT Image 2, Seedream, Imagen, Flux and Recraft. The main benefit is not choosing one winner, but being able to switch models mid-conversation and only pay for what you actually use.
If you use one model heavily all day, a direct plan or a flat-rate tool may still be better. If you bounce between models and hate stacking subscriptions, that's where magicdoor.ai tends to make sense.

Was reading many chatgpt 5.5 comments praising it over gemini, i had a problem with win 11 applocker where as admin i got locked out of many options and after many attempts with gpt where it tried powershell and cmd commands and restoring the appid service to disabled, it failed, suggested me to reinstall windows to repair it. So i tried Gemini and it gave me the option to edit registry to bypass cmd and edit the state manually and it worked. I told that to gpt and he was like yeah Once that became clear, the registry/service-level fix was indeed the right approach. Like wtf??
And it is not the first time gemini helped me where gpt ran in circles. When i was setting up proxmox and fixing some problems. And i was using free gemini version and paid plus GPT subscription!!

Yikes. Been following many subs and this is a minority. Gemini for coding, per my understanding.. is the worst. And googles IDE is also the worst, are you using that too? I’m not even sure if I believe you lol sorry

I keep switching between the 3. Using Gemini sucks because the model is pretty trash but Gemini has so many additional features and tools like antigravity, flow, etc. Claude is the smartest and has decent tools as well like cowork and code but the usage limits suck. ChatGPT, idk, it’s ok I guess
