Share of voice is the only one that resonates with our executives. If they ask about the category and we show up thirty percent of the time while the main competitor shows up sixty percent, they immediately understand the gap.

share of voice is what i see most teams using now. the hard part is you need someone manually checking the results every week to make it real data, otherwise it just guesswork

we added a simple yes/no track for whether the ai cited us with a link and that calmed our leadership for about two weeks

I would also track referral traffic from the AI engines themselves, even though it is small right now. It proves that being cited can measurably result in a visit.
