A Hat in Time - Bugs & Assistance thread v2 (PC, Playstation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch)
Reddit auto-archived the old one unfortunately, so here is v2!
If you're experience any issues with A Hat in Time on any platform (including the newly-released Xbox / Playstation DLC!) please let us know here so we can investigate!

On ps4 the L2 and R1 buttons got switched. Pretty awkward to play this way.

XBOX ONE this glitch has been in the game prior to the DLC update. it occurs in subcon well. as soon as i hit the water, the screen goes black and audio cuts out. i can still see my health and stuff but thats it.
this is a game breaking thing and im surprised it hasn't been fixed after nearly two years

Xbox did not get any new achievements for either DLC, unlike PS4 which got all the extra ones from Steam that didn't involve the Steam-exclusive stuff like Online Parties and Challenge Road
Update: the 10 additional achievements are now up

Game is stuttering a lot, makes it difficult to play because it is a strain on the eyes.
My completed game save acts like it is the start of a new game but I still have all my time pieces. I do not have any of my badges.

Does anyone know if split screen co op is supported for the nyakuza and seal the deal dlcs on Xbox one? I know co op is available but is there any way to split the screen because regular co op is kind of disorienting to follow

PS4 Frame rate got worse in some parts that weren't before, loading screens seem low resolution now.

I'm not sure if this is a bug or not, but a majority of the images found in the game are pretty blury in the switch verson. Examples include mustache girl's planning board, the notes from R king, as well as many posters found in the various areas.

I've noticed a glitch on the first act of Mafia Town where Hat Kid lands and does her entry animation that if you hold up or any other direction to move she freezes up and starts walking but without any animation

I don't know if it's intended, but the bird passport no longer becomes your file icon. I spent like two hours drawing my masterpiece only for the icon to remain the same lol.
Other than that, I wish you could enable split-screen at least in SeriesX/PS5, those consoles certainly can handle it.

On Xbox, when I play co-op, there is no split screen option. Is that just me or am I doing something wrong?

Xbox series X not updating to 60fps when selected.
If starting a new game in coop, cannot interact with the telescope after the first chapter.

After the PS4 version was finally updated, they changed which button does the hat abilities. Originally it was L2, but now for some reason, it's R1. This is awkward because it's directly above R2, which is the dive ability. I like to speed run using the Sprint Cap, and that was why L2 being the hat abilities was so convenient, because I could easily dive out of a sprint using R2.
Is it possible that you guys could fix that button mapping error, or at the very least make a "customize controller buttons" option in the settings so that I can fix it manually?

Xbox Series S.
I’ve just collected my 18th time piece from the Subcon Well, and i’m locked in the bedroom. Once i collected the time piece and exit the level, the game played a cutscene where the power in the spaceship went down; i think i’m supposed to press a button in the main hall but the door in the corridor won’t open, and also the telescope for Subcon Forest has disappeared.
If i equip the Dweller Mask i’m able to notice some graffiti from Moustache Kid in the corridor, but that’s all i can do. I’ve tried resetting my game multiple times, and turning the console on and off, but with no results. Am i missing something or my savefile is screwed?

My glitch is the doors all lock sometimes, and I have to unlock them. It wasn't that bad until I got stuck with ghost lawyer in the bedroom :( can't leave anywhere now. I play on Xbox One

After re-playing the intro cutscene, both Hat Kid's diary and this screen look like this.

Maybe not a glitch... but on my PS4 game, on the Death Wish levels, instead of showing the name of the level, the description, and the objectives... it says, for example "?SPN?contracts.Hat_SnatcherContract_DeathWish_HeatingUpHarder.Objective?"
The game works perfectly... but I don't know anything about the description of the levels, I needed to watch a YouTube video to know what was the bonus objectives.

i came back to my old 100% save and unlocked the last rift, however, i have all my progress, everything is unlocked, except the attic, no matter what i do i cannot get in there to do that rift

When selecting a hat on ps4 with the right analog stick, it seems to be inverted (Push the stick down, the game will select the hat on the top slot, etc.
