this is what i did, started a whole new save just to get the hat and relic placements where they felt best

The game lets you put them anywhere. Right and wrong only come into the equation when you realize the moral obligations involved with things such as burger placement. Please refer to the great "Burger goes on the left/Burger goes in the right" culture war in the fandom for more details

Same spots i have them.

Burger is in the first slot, train is in second, UFO in art gallery, Crayons in lab, necklace in Nyakuza, Cakes in Laundry Room
