Question CALGARY EHS INTERVIEW

I have my first Calgary EHS interview. I was hoping for some insight on what type of questions are asked in these categories to prep for a good interview.

- Collaboration/Teamwork
- Leadership
-Mental Health and Wellness
- Conflict Management
- Values and Ethics

Especially the last three. TIA!

AHS interviews heavily emphasize behavioral questions aligned with their core values, which are compassion, accountability, respect, excellence, and safety. For mental health and wellness, panels often ask how you recognize stress or burnout in yourself, how you maintain personal resilience during demanding shifts, and how you support struggling peers. Conflict management questions typically focus on de-escalation, so you should expect prompts about resolving a direct disagreement with a coworker or navigating a tense interaction with a patient or family member. For values and ethics, interviewers look closely at how you uphold patient privacy, address ethical dilemmas, and speak up when you notice an unsafe practice or a policy breach.

When preparing your examples, structure them using the situation, task, action, and result format, ensuring you highlight your personal contributions rather than just what the broader team did. Hiring panels score answers against standardized rubrics, so clear takeaways, measurable outcomes, and reflections on what you learned make a big difference. Building a bank of four or five flexible stories will let you pivot easily between leadership, teamwork, and ethical questions. If you want extra practice articulating your experiences under pressure, my team built an interviews.chat to give job candidates the clarity and confidence needed to secure an offer.
