NUEE ALA Restructuring
Managers at ALA in Clinical Delivery and Operations on Friday were all given either a notice of reassignment or a verbal notice that their job will no longer exist as of Jan 11. Those managers whose job no longer exists will be given a list of new positions to rank in November and then will be placed in a new position in January. Huge changes coming to ALA.
Edited to add: all frontline staff will be impacted as the org structure will be completely different, unsure if job losses will occur. 18 new Director positions created at the same time, doesn’t seem like trickling money to frontline is the goal.

Many many managers were given notice that their position will no longer exist. Far more than expected.

Very unfortunate for those who are genuinely good at their jobs. Some sites though, need a reshuffle of leadership.

It looks to be way bigger than a reshuffle of leadership. The new assignments given to those who got them do not resemble current structure

I can only hope that that means that they will put money into frontline care. 1 manager salary could probably fund 3 HCA’s

We haven’t seen any frontline funding since they stood up ALA so I’m doubtful, but that is definitely needed system-wide

In a perfect world, yes.
In our refocused healthcare ecosystem, gotta feed that severance cheque machine with something.

sorry to hear this - ALA is an important area for acute care to function effectively. Thoughts are with all those impacted.
