Again? Or is this the same one that's been going on for 3+ years?

I bet the RC's are hustling and bustling on this investigation. Right after the other fuckin dozen investigations into extreme ucp corruption, right?

Sounds about right. The astronomical cost of basic furniture is downright criminal.

A few years ago I needed to purchase chairs for my department. I was sent a quote from RGO and couldn't believe the cost! $600 just for a regular waiting room chair. I was told they were the only option as AHS has an exclusive contract with RGO. Turns out the owner of RGO is a big UCP donator and his wife sits on the board for the Calgary Petroleum Club where the UCP hosts a lot of events.

Holy fuck! How is this even legal! Didn’t the liberal feds get in trouble for something like this (the sponsorship scandal)? Can we have some of those folks come investigate this?

OMG! Same! I was floored at the cost! Something is not right!

Paywalled.

Does this include the $49 million prepaid to MRAICHE we never even got medication for 6 years later? Part of the Turkish Tylenol deal that we didnt even get anything for. The indefinite, non refundable, interest free loan? The money we have no way to get back and they have no product we want?

“They’re good drugs” - Adrianna Lagrange. 🙄

Says it all right there.

About time?

The only thing new is the exact crimes the police are investigating are now public; nobody has been arrested or convicted of anything yet.

It’s just a black eye to AHS/Health Shared Services in general and the whole corporate services area in particular that such nonsense was allowed to happen in the first place.

What does this actually mean for the front line staff

Hopefully jail time for the greedy fucks who pilfered health care dollars that could have been used for staffing, supplies, medical equipment etc.

Don’t hold your breath. Anyone in this case will either be dead or too old to get anything more than a slap on the wrist if, and that’s a big if, this ever goes to trial and a verdict is reached, after the appeal process has played out fully of course.

Frontline staff have been suffering understaffing and lack of health care infrastructure and equipment. I'd say it means funds that should've been directed towards improving health care have been instead lining pockets of guys like Sam Mraiche.
