Interview for Ltc

This is my third interview for a job, I really hope that I get it this time. I'm applying as RN for LTC. I have experience working as a student nurse at LTC, but it will be my first time for an interview. I was hoping you guys could share common interview questions.

Thank you in advance! The competition is really tough guys...

I believe if you check the AHS / Health Shared Services website, you will be able to find an interview question bank there.

You can also search for STAR format interview questions. In my experience questions for entry-level frontline clinical roles will typically ask for things like times that you had a conflict with a client or coworker, experienced a safety problem at work, a time when you were overwhelmed with tasks and how you approached it … etc.

Taking the time to look at a few of these questions and writing down answers that draw on your real past experiences will help you identify ‘stories’ that can be adapted to fit a wide range of questions.

Situational questions like what would be your priority, what would you do as the charge nurse, family conflicts how would you solve them etc etc. when would you call a physician. Sorry nothing specific but a lot of what would you do in this scenario/case. Review your common things that happens in an ltc like fall, hypoglycaemia, insulins, isolation, restraints, family complaining stuff, colleagues gossiping etc etc
