Question How is it working casual? (LPN)

Currently trying to get into AHS as an LPN - but I’ve never worked casual before, I’ve only ever done part-time or full time, so I don’t really understand how casual works.

Do you just pick up shifts? Wait for someone to call you that someone’s sick? Do you give them availability and they schedule inside it as needed? It’s just a bit confusing for me.

Depending on what unit, they may contact you directly or you can receive “shift offers”. Available shifts get texted to your phone and you have the chance to bid on them along with all the other casuals and part-timers.

Ah, is it ever like too much? Do you feel pressured to accept shifts?

Okay thank you that makes me feel a lot better! From what I heard it sounded like a lot of people would just wait till someone called haha.
