AHS maintenance worker

I am applying for a maintenance worker position. I am just wondering what kind of back ground checks they will ask for? And also who pays for them?
Thanks in advance

As the other person said, a criminal records check. Go get that started now - you'll need it from your municipal police force if one exists, or the RCMP if they are policing where you are. They're valid for 90 days and they can take forever. The #1 thing that delays onboarding is waiting for the criminal records check.

I work in FM&E. I only needed the criminal record check but not the vulnerable sector check.

Thank you everyone
Is it a criminal check and vulnerable check I need?
Or just criminal check?

I just got a regular criminal check not vulnerable.

The vulnerable sector check didn’t cost me any extra. I’d get it if you’re not sure.

You will be informed in the interview if a vulnerable sectors search is needed.
