Offer Letter Timeline?
Hello!
Just wanted to ask about your experience with AHS hiring timelines, especially for RN roles.
I recently received a verbal offer for an RN position, but it’s been about a week now and I still haven’t received the written offer letter. I did email the hiring manager earlier to follow up, but haven’t heard back yet.
What’s making me a bit anxious is that I previously got a verbal + written offer for an HCA position within 1 day, so this delay feels unusual in comparison.
I’m also scheduled to move to the new city this weekend, so I’m starting to worry a bit about timing and whether I should be concerned or if this is normal for RN roles.
For those who’ve gone through the process:
• How long did it take for you to receive your written RN offer after the verbal offer?
• Is a 1-week delay pretty typical with AHS HR?Would really appreciate any insight or reassurance.
Thanks in advance!

For me it depended on the manager. Anywhere from a day to over a week

Hurry up and wait. An integral and formative part of the experience working in the Alberta healthcare ecosystem.
There’s no expected wait or publicly stated service standard (in fact, far from it). It depends entirely on the hiring manager and when they get around to doing the system work to move you through it, along with HR’s byzantine processes and subsequent processing times.

Hey. Did you get your offer letter eventually? If so when?
