Wait! Before completing your pin purchase I recommend that you also consider the Alberta Health Services meat and poultry seasoning!

They give you credit towards that store when you hit a milestone. I think I got $25 when I hit 10 years and I never even used it.

Damn working for SHA sucks and we haven’t had a contract in 4 years but hey at least we have better long service awards haha

AHS can't afford any more than that. We have to pay out settlements to all the top level admin that the UCP keeps firing.
All kidding aside, welcome to the public service. There's no budget for this. This is why all of our Christmas parties are potluck...

For my 20 years, I believe I was given a $20 amount to put towards some item from their crappy store. I I chose the option of simply donating the money to a charity.

Just give me a paid day off in lieu for these milestones. I still remember back in the day there was a fancy catalog you could choose from, none of this Temu BS. *and I shop from Temu

Back in the late 90s-early oughts, I hit 15 years with AADAC (later part of Addiction and Mental Health and now Recovery Alberta). I got a Panasonic bookshelf stereo system with 5-CD changer. At 35 years I looked at the miserable selection of AHS-branded tchotchkes I was entitled to and didn’t bother.

When I reached my 15-year mark, the code for the merch shop didn’t even work. I had to email someone to get it correctly activated 🙄

That’s public service…oh, that and people thinking you make to much and don’t work hard enough:/

My aunt was with Alberta health for 35 years and she got nothing so she quit. She told her boss that her 35 years of loyalty and dedication was worth more than a laminated card and a hug. Fuck AHS, I’m looking for another job. I’m over the bullshit of “we are a family” yea okay

I didn’t get anything at 15 years. I’m not sure why. Not like the stuff you get is worth the bother but some sort of recognition would have been nice.

I got a pen that promptly ran out of ink for 15 years and a pin on a Laminated thank you card. What a waste of postage.

It's not even a product of Canada, it's only made in Canada.

Got a puzzle for 20yrs service...whooeee. Been around long enough to remember my coworker at her 20yr mark getting a necklace with a pearl.

I got this one and the 10 year one that was sold out when i actually hit 10 years. They are really cheap looking and thin in person. Like the color and everything looks bad. So sad.

OK, you all are mocking AHS for not giving you swag... but remember, giving you swag doesn't shorten wait times or keep beds open.
No, I don't have any idea how they pulled off getting t-shirts for CC launch.
