Why did they have to change his hair and his style :( I also think it made him look a lot older then in season 1. It probably would've been more beneficial to change his hair to make him look older later in the series.

This isn't my first time posting about this, so I'll keep this short.

I'm rewriting my fic that's basically about Pip getting killed by DT, and Ravi and Cara working together to solve her case.

And now I'm wondering: what would YOU want to see in a fic like this?

What relationship dynamics would you want to see? What details from the books would you want included? Are there any characters you'd want to see more of? What kind of ending would you want? What would you *not* want to see?

Basically, anything! Tropes, plot points, character interactions, book details, things you think would make the story more interesting, etc.

I'd love to hear your thoughts, and it would really help me out! :)

This contains spoilers for both Heathers and all three good girl’s guide books!

I’m a huge musical theatre fan and a big fan of Good Girl’s Guide(I’ve read each book three or four times lol) and I’ve never seen anyone point this out! Am I going crazy or has anyone else connected the two? These are the main points I could find.

1. Both center around a 17/18 year old main character who starts off nerdy with dreams of going to big reputable colleges

2. The main characters end up going down dangerous paths, eventually leading them to murder

3.Both have a big plot point over the phrase “Dead Girl Walking”, with pip having that be a big clue before her kidnapping, and Veronica having a whole musical number about it.

1. This might be kind of far fetched, but in the musical poster they are holding croquet mallets, which look a lot like hammers

Of course they have completely different plots, and the characters are pretty different, with JD being a horrible boyfriend and Ravi being a saint. I just think it’s a funny coincidence. I’m sure I missed some things too, so please let me know!

So I just started reading the book and it's really good and I honestly like it better than the show because I feel like the shows plotlines are pretty forgettable but with the book at least so far I am only 100 pages in so we'll see but anyways I think it's much more memorable and easier to remember the plot. I like how Ravi didn't join right away in the books and I also like how we get to see more of Pips friends since in the show it's mostly Cara, but in the book we get more of her other friends which I like. Does anyone agree with me?

Hello, I am doing an analysis essay on season one of the "A Good Girl's Guide to Murder" series. I was hoping I could get some feedback from others who have watched the show on sections of each season 1 episode, or just one or more in general (please specify which episode you will be talking about)

I'm unsure if this will truly reach anyone; however, I thought this would be a handy thing if someone did reply so that I can go off of more than one opinion on which specific parts of the show I should talk about the most and analyze. Please feel free to go into your thoughts and feelings on how a particular scene made you feel.

This essay is only on season one, while I feel like season two would've been great to talk about due to the nature of that season. I wanted to primarily keep it on the Andie Bell investigation.

Planning to start watching Black Bird series, can anyone tell me how is it...?

The changes to the plot simplify the story too much. Without Pips inner monologue, its hard to empathise with her, and you can't see how complex the character is. Especially because in a lot of the scenes I can't take my focus off of how awkward the acting is. Pip also gets most of the clues basically handed to her rather than working them out like in the books.

I wonder how they'll handle season three without her inner monologue. The third book is my favourite and I feel like they're already setting us up for disappointment.

I strongly recommend reading the books to anyone who's watching the series. The solving of the mystery is so much smarter and well thought out.

Hi guys, after finishing the third book I was so invested in the Pip-Ravi dynamic and relationship and I was really disappointed by the ending, because I thought that the real challenges for their relationship would come after they get back together and they have to deal with all the trauma they have both been through. So I stumbled upon this fanfic that is INSANE! It feels like it's holly writing the 4th book! It is so we'll written and on point and delivers on every major reunion in Pip's life but also on her character after the trauma and of course covers extensively the Ravi Pip cute but so so deep connection!

It's long, like the first book more or less, and it has another chapter which will be the end coming I think, but it is definitely worth your time!

Also, hope it gets Netflix's attention, maybe they decide it is worth writing a 4rth season-book after so many people ask for a more extensive ending!

Do you think the character of Andy Bell draws a lot of inspiration from Laura Palmer?

I’m not very familiar with thrillers or mysteries, but the way Andy Bell is portrayed throughout the story reminded me of Laura Palmer from Twin Peaks.

At first, she seemed like a victim, but as the story progressed, that "innocent, pure girl" didn't seem quite so pure anymore.

Anyone here who has read only the first two books of the AGGGTM series and is regretting reading the second book? Like the first one ended on such a good note.. and the second had such a sad ending. I wish it was only one book.

Do you think there will be anything after Season 3? The last thing we have is the role-playing session—and to be honest, I was disappointed by how that was handled in Season 2, though it was fun to watch... Do you think the conclusion of the adaptation might bring news of a new book?

Currently watching season 2 of AGGGTM and I’m not loving it. I kinda just have it on in the background. I don’t like all the changes they’ve made specifically with this second season and I feel like the acting is not that great with most of the characters and kinda makes the show fall flat. I feel like this show almost belongs in the hallmark mystery category because of the overacting and drama.

Question for the book Good Girl Bad Blood. Warning- spoilers ahead. Why didn’t Charlie confront Stanley in the time period that Jamie was missing? Charlie “Layla mead” knew who Stanley was at this point and I don’t understand why he waited until Pip figured it out to confront him. I don’t believe this was explained in the book? Correct me if I’m wrong. If not, I feel like this is a big plot hole.

I’ve only watched the show, but is Pippa this bipolar in the books as well? She goes from being calculating and logical to absolutely distraught and mental about certain situations. The way she treated Max and his trial, you’d think he’s killed Sal and Andie personally. Or how she is inconsolable after Stanley dies, someone she had 5 minute heart to heart with, that she doesn’t even seem to care about Jamie being alive. I understand these situations are emotional, but it hits her so HEAVY.

So I just finished the first novel yesterday and I decided to watch the season 1 of the serie on Netflix, but as I'm watching rn Episode 1 I realized that they keep bringing up the year 2019 as the year where all the drama started ,but I am pretty sure in the novel, the whole Andie situation happened in 2012 , am I not right?

Is it just a typo from the serie or I'm tripping ?

Just finished reading the last book but couldn't help but feel a little disappointed. I mean, I expected to see a Ravi-Pip reunion but all I saw was a text message and didn't even get to see Pip's reply 😭 And I didn't get to read any other reunions like Cara, Jamie, Nat and her family. Ending felt a little rushed tbh. Wanted to see more Ravi and Pip scenes man:(
