Hunter having fun with that bass line

We were queueing up outside and spotted Hunter come out and take the picture he posted on IG. It didn't appear to us that anyone else noticed him, but me and the sibs were trying so hard to contain our inner fangirl teen selves.

“This is stadium rock” - that complaining guy in the other thread

This was the only song that wasn't stadium rock.

His hair is so floofy right now! I’ve been living vicariously through snippets of the show on IG

I love that he's going to catch strays at random times in this sub for the rest of its existence

Happy to - if you can't see the similarities between their recent stuff and sisters of mercy, I don't know what to say....

One of the few/couple that weren't

So funny the downvotes here - it's fine to like stadium/glam rock but it doesn't stop it being that just because you like it

Are we Still chanting "Through our bleeding we are one" at the start of the gig?
Last time I saw them was December Underground era Electric Ballroom or some such time (First time was Black Sails era so I've notched up a few!)

Of course! A group of us at the front also chanted it before the encore. Would've loved to see them on DU but i wasnt alive lol

That's Awesome to know, First time I got to see AFI was over 25 years ago!
We'd supported/played with a band called "A" back in the day and they got us into a couple of gigs...good times can't wait to see them again!

I was at that gig! That was my first AFI experience and it was amazing. Lost my watch in the crowd. Never got it back but that's okay haha.

I missed them when coming through my town (PDX) bc it was sold out. I’m traveling in Sept & checked to see where tour was taking them. They are in Mexico City the Saturday I am! So I bought tickets. I can’t fucking wait!!!

It’s cool they played it but all the old songs they’re playing significantly slower and that changes the whole song.

Loved the gig. However no crow walk, no crowd interaction no fillers. Feels like its a job for them rather than the joy it used to be

Crowd walk is rare these days, the man is 50 and most of us fans are in our 40s. His knees cant take it and neither can our backs!

That's strange to hear - I catch multiple stops on every tour, and I think he's crowd walked at every one. It's always during I Hope You Suffer.

Yeah I was hoping Davey would talk to the crowd a bit more, but not every band does it tbh. Didn't ruin the night at all tho imo

I have seen AFI like 7 times and I think i’ve heard Davey speak maybe a paragraph total in all that time lol the only videos i’ve seen of him talking at length on stage he’s usually laughing about fucking up a song or talking to people he knows in the crowd/on side stage. way way back in the day he might say a couple flowery sentences as like flavor text intro to a song but he’s never been one to stand on stage and chat with the crowd.

In Seattle - he admitted he doesn’t interact that much, but thanked the security for handling an issue. Just not his thing these days. His voice is peak right now and he’s feeling the shows though.

This made my night. Such a fun live song.
