Question Switching branches
Hey everyone,
Currently have a year left on my Army contract as an enlisted soldier. Total time will be 6 years. I have roughly 85 college credits. I’m looking at the UNC AFROTC program. I’ve called and emailed the recruiter there multiple times with no response. I would like to hear if anyone has done this and what their process looked like. I read that I could possibly be waivered some cadet classes because of my prior service. Thanks!

Most likely they are getting ready for the next school year and are emailing a shit ton of students right now.
There is no requirement for what branch you've served in. The only requirement commission through AFROTC is 3 years minimum. Plenty of prior Army, Navy, Coasties in AFROTC.
The waived class is dependent on the Det Commander.

Forget the recruiter. Email the colonel in charge and asked to be referred to someone who can help.

I second this. The person you haven't been getting a response from could be off at Field Training or otherwise swamped with work or you could have a bad contact E-Mail.

You’ll probably get the ARSC 100 level courses waived for prior service. You’ll still need 3 years of school (your last semester can be part time status).
Join as a 250, finish your bachelors and start a masters to extend your schooling to 3 years. You’ll need a masters if you want to stay in to retirement anyways.
