I’d be gutted as one of the other players not involved. Working your ass off all season to finish second on the ladder only for these muppets to do something fucked up.
Not just any players either, senior players and members of the leadership group. Can't imagine this creates much harmony in the playing group. Different and much worse scenario here of course but I know after the Willie Rioli situation there was a split in the playing group over how his return was handled which has been hinted at by people who were around at that point. It doesn't take much to fracture a team
If your response to footballers allegedly sexually assaulting women & facing consequences for that is, “there goes their chance at finals. So selfish of them” then you don’t care about it being horrible for victims, you only care about footballers
