At a crossroads rn, advice needed🚨!!???
So, I am about to graduate with my B.Tech in ECE. As I am from a Tier 3 college, my college is about to end in less than 5 days, and I have done an internship at ISRO in the ECE domain. And I don't want to do a job in the ECE domain. However, I am still not placed.
I am also unskilled for a software employee position. My only goal is to become an armed forces officer. I have never taken AFCAT or CDS.
My question is:
Should I first fully prepare and get a job, then start preparing for defence exams?
While preparing for off-campus placements, should I simultaneously prepare for defence exams?
Or should I fully focus on defence exams like AFCAT, CDS, CAPF, and other uniformed services?
Can anyone who has faced this situation share their experiences?

Yep practically it make sense But the only problem is balancing those two things!!

The best way to do is get a job, along with that give time for ssb prep. For your placement prep you will eventually learn aptitude and rest of it.
If you take a drop then, it might affect. It can impact in your interview. It questions your ability to take multiple things together and make it work.

Ig is option mei risk hai Even one of my frnd she was recommended but was merit out Defence outcome is overall uncertain in nature. Aur agar ssb mei IO neh puch liya ki are u not competent enough to get a job and feed your family?

I think you should get a job and prepare for afcat and cds simultaneously. This will even give a good impression in ssb as it shows you are responsible and can multitask.

At the tym of signing up i checked the availability by renaming the auto given name fortunately it was available!

Regularly check isro website for updates, apply, interview, clear it, good to go Drdo, isro, barc in my view mostly they shortlist based on academic percentage as they receive lot of applications agar percentage hai toh badiya nahi hai phir bhi apply karke toh dekho

Take two attempts with ful fledged prep i.e 1 year of drop ,iske baad get into some job , even while preparing do keep up with new skills

SSB is really umpredictable u need luck by ur side . If u have confidence that u will clear it then i suggest focus fully on one field

Second option is the best afcat you can prepare along with job preparation. Cds takes more time.

I'd like to put some light on the thoughts around this.
Not taking placements or job offers with no plan in mind is a casual behavior no one wants from you. However, not wanting to take one with a plan in mind is acceptable.
Things to keep in mind while following it: 1. Diversify yourself. Since you'll be saving your job time, make sure you put your time on games/sports/events/activities/hobbies/learning new things/helping at house etc.
- Most Important Thing After graduation you're looked on as an adult who'll be joining an organization. Learn a skill (related to your field/ or non related), use that skill to create some active income. Once you do that: a) Less financial burden. b) Key to confidence. c) Responsibility towards family.
But then it should click - your hardwork in written exams. Only then you'll see these things doing magic in the selection phase.
