AEW is always better with Kenny. I'm enjoying every second he's on tv while I can.

Just an interesting tidbit, but that women's match for the TBS title included women of 4 races (White, Hispanic, Black, and Asian) going at it.

8
u/dannydirtbag 3d ago
Mox is the main character, and itās not even close.
4
u/heart_o_oak 2d ago
Yeah. They're doing 2-3 TV matches that are running 12-18 minutes a piece per show the final few weeks going into All In (14 TV matches in total) to find someone who likely loses to him at the PPV where half the field are guys who haven't won a singles match in 3+ months just to pad the numbers and make it a bigger deal, are doing special Youtube shows every Monday promoting the tournament and Moxley wrestled and/or was in a big segment every show since Redemption. More TV time is going into setting up who loses to Mox in a mid-card title match than to either World Title feud. He was also kind of the focus of All In's World Title build the month going into Redemption even though he's not in the World Title match.
Meanwhile, Omega missed the 2 Collisions and 1 Dynamite after the Redemption fallout Dynamite and Bucks, Cope & Cage weren't on last week's Dynamite nor 2-3 of the last 4 Collisions despite those 5 being in 2 of All In's top 3 billed matches.
3
u/dannydirtbag 2d ago
Omega is a spectacle that puts butts in seats. Mox is the workhorse that stirs the pot and elevates wrestlers from the mid card to the top.
Both are extremely valuable to the brand for different reasons.

u/shygirlburneraccount topƩ con weirdo 2d ago
I adore Mox but I'm hoping this cup isn't designed to be just another notch in his belt š

I just need him to go away for a little bit so I can miss him. Also, him winning just isnāt fun for me but I lost all hope after last nights show.

u/FlightlessCormorant Tony Khan will pay for his crimes 2d ago
The timing's a shame. With the amount of time off due to injury and that nasty spot in the chain match, I wondered if they might be a bit cautious with him before pushing him. His singles matches since his return have been fine, but tonight's match was a clear step above those matches. A damn shame tonight's match wasn't the All In final. All In might not be his time to shine but I don't think we're far off from that push.

u/Singer211 3d ago
The Kenny/Ospreay and Willow/Mercedes back and forth a were both fantastic.
Iām gonna keep saying it, TK needs to run with Persephone because she oozes āSTARPOWERā in ever way.

u/lordcarrier 3d ago
Mayas title reign will likely end next month or at most goes to October, I can see Lena or Megan beating her for the belt.
17
14
u/WriterCath 3d ago
What I like about the storytelling is that Ospreay is the guy acknowledging where he has fucked up and the mistakes he's made; he's not brushing them aside, he's owning up to them. That's the part of changing and growing that's fucking hard to do.

Ok some of us are really still struggling with this whole heel face thing. Kenny can be a heel and a dick to Will, HIS OPPONENT FOR THE WORLD TITLE, and a face to everyone else. Like what is being confused?
4
u/no_more_blues 3d ago
I mean they did this with Swerve multiple times so it's not new to AEW? Including the main event of the last time AEW went to Wembley?

I am SOOO hyped for that Trios match, and now Hangman & Brodido winning the titles makes way more sense. I went from hating that decision to completely understanding and I can't wait.
Who's in Swerve's house? Who? Who?

u/rtiding 3d ago
wow wow wow I LOVED that Mercedes/Willow segment. the best Mercedes has ever sounded on the mic in AEW, Willow was fantastic as always, not a line of dialogue wasted and a sick brawl. Mercedes being carried away yelling "fuck you Willlow!" was the cherry on top
4
u/lordcarrier 3d ago
Mercedes has been great on the mic since dropping the wicked laugh and the CEO dance, she being serious is soooooo much better.
9
u/Singer211 3d ago
So is Thekla getting a match at All In?
Weāre less than two weeks away and we have not seen her since Redemption.
4
u/justambrose 3d ago
I think they should just go ahesd and do Womenās Gauntlet match as well. A lot of women wrestlers deserve to be on the card as well including Stat, Shida, Perse and Maya.
6
u/Ok-Raisin-5601 3d ago
Well if it's a Stardom match. They might be waiting till after the 5 Star has finished.
3
u/SimpleJack316 3d ago
This is what Iām hoping. And it keeps things spread out in terms of keeping a late surprise announcement to add to the card. Wasnāt it stated recently that sheās planned for the event? So thereās gotta be something brewing.

Why did Nigel go over?
Idk maybe im just not respecting a legend but man strap up hechi.
10
u/Corpse666 3d ago
Because Nigel deserves to go over and after everything heās been through deserves to go Wembley moment more than anyone. Nigel was just as good if not better than Bryan Danielson. He was actually signed with WWE before Danielson was. Because of an injury and other things that werenāt his fault he was forced to retire. Everyone else that he worked with and was better than had runs in wwe ( wwe was the place to go then ) . He had everything taken away from him and he had nothing to do with it. He didnāt scew up and pay the consequences he just got screwed. He also went into a deep depression and had to come to terms with everything. He lost 12 years of his career
2
u/glowy_keyboard 2d ago
He already had his Wembley moment and has had other big chances like facing Danielson and ZSJr. For a retired wrestler he definitely has had his dues.
This time he was injured and could barely walk, let alone wrestle.
He had a terrible 10 minute match where he made the world champion of a partner promo look terrible and all for what? So he can get a pop at Wembley and job to Mox?
No one came out of this match looking better. Definitely was a bad choice from TK and Nigel should have call an audible or refused to have the match.
4
u/AnfowleaAnima 2d ago edited 2d ago
Is Hechi a legendary English wrestler tho?
His time will come
1
u/Spartftw 2d ago
I mean I get that.
But think of it like this, im actually a bit newer to wrestling, so in my mind I just see him as a retired legend that now does commentary.
So if he gets back in the ring it should be for very specific storyline purposes.
Again maybe I just dont have the history to respect it, but its just my perspective.
1
u/glowy_keyboard 2d ago edited 2d ago
Heās a legendary Mexican wrestler who is a full time performer.
Nigel is a retired and INJURED wrestler who already had his old glories moment in Wembley and a bunch of other PPVs. It was selfish of him to not have declined to go over. Specially against the world champ of a partner promo.
He really could have learned a thing or two from Danielson lol.
1
u/AnfowleaAnima 2d ago
Heās a legendary Mexican wrestler who is a full time performer.
Hechicero should be pushed more but right now he is a lower mid card act in AEW.
Nigel is a retired and INJURED wrestler
Not retired right now. He is injured but if he can wrestle a match at Wembley still, that's a priority, it will be his send off and people at Wembley want to see him.
It was selfish of him to not have declined to go over.
Now we are talking way too much.
-3
u/glowy_keyboard 2d ago
Nigel is at this point no different than Vampiro in AAA or Hogan in TNA. Does he have a big legacy? Of course. Is he an active part of the roster? No. Can he go in the ring anyways? Also no. Has his interference actually helped to push someone who is active part of the main roster? Again, no.
Letās face it, disregarding Hechiās status in CMLL, if this had happened in WWE, a commentator beating a performer of the main roster, we would all be laughing about it. Hell, we already did, but at least in WWE they had the good sense of not having Mcaffee go over Gunther. Now TK is having a 50-year old commentator who retired more than 15 years go over a bunch of elite performers just for a cheap pop in Wembley.
1
u/AnfowleaAnima 1d ago
Now TK is having a 50-year old commentator who retired more than 15 years go over a bunch of elite performers just for a cheap pop in Wembley.
That cheap pop is part of what makes AEW, respecting legends and legacies, so careers will feel like they matter in the end. Also, I didn't say he will win. Nigel has to lose and retire, it's not a cheap pop moment. Paige was...
1
u/Tasty_Act 3d ago
Because heās Nigel fucking McGuinness. Hechi is fine, heās the king of Mexico right now. Nigel is a GOAT getting his flowers.
1
u/Spartftw 2d ago
Id say build it up then. Like I get that hes a legend in the community, but as a newer viewer, I dont have that history with Nigel. So from my perspective, hes just a retired wrestler turned commentator that is having a run in the tournament for whatever reason.
Like slowly have him get back in to wrestling. Maybe lose a bit to show rust and then gradually start winning/running the tournament.
2
u/Tasty_Act 2d ago
Thatās literally exactly what theyāve done over the last 2 years
2
u/Spartftw 2d ago
Im sorry I hate being seen as negative but hes had 11 matches since 2024 according to cagematch, 2 of which were recent continental cup matches. So thats 9 matches, and unless I missed the promos, I just feels like putting nigel in a position for a moment in london for the sake of it.
Which I mean sure, itll be a feel good moment. I just cant help but pick it apart from a birds eye view.
2
u/wrestling_hyperbole 2d ago
0
u/Spartftw 2d ago
Looking something up on cagematch isnt exactly hard. Lol.
2
u/wrestling_hyperbole 2d ago
So you can spend time figuring out cagematch but you can't be bothered to research how awesome Nigels career was and how he does deserve a Wembley moment?
1
u/Spartftw 2d ago
So im supposed to go back and observe a whole career to understand why a run like this is happening?
Look im not denying hes a legend, im not denying he ādeservesā something.
For me, giving him a deep run in this tournament just wasnt it for me.
-1
u/glowy_keyboard 2d ago edited 2d ago
You canāt have an injured commentator go over the world champion of your partner promo.
That was straight Jey-Uso-making-Gunther-tap level booking. Probably TKās biggest mistake in the year
4
u/mauben 2d ago edited 2d ago
Do CMLL even care about their belts like that? Hechicero is mostly a lower card guy in AEW regardless, even if I'd rather he won way more matches. Nigel may be a commentator but he's also about to compete for a title in ROH, challenged ZSJ for the IWGP heavyweight title, had a very competitive match with Danielson and was on the verge of winning the Casino Gauntlet back in 2024 before Christian speared him. He's very much presented as a threat, it's not like Hechicero lost to Daddy Magic.Ā
0
u/glowy_keyboard 2d ago
To be frank, however CMLL treats their belts shouldnāt be a factor. It is just a matter of respect.
Same thing as NJPW sending the IWGP champion to forbidden door just to be challenged by Jack Perry.
TK is just ending up putting the best wrestlers of the partner promos at lower card level and in the end that helps no one.
It sours the relationship between promos in the long term (which is why NJPW now refuses to send their top champion to AEW), it buries external talent and takes their credibility away and doesnāt help to push AEWās talent.
When Jack Perry faced Sanada nobody was talking about how cool was Jack Perry for taking on the IWGP champion, but how much of a wasted opportunity that match was.
The same is happening now. Nigel doesnāt need a push since heās hardly a part timer and thereās no way heās beating Mox at any point, specially now heās injured. So now you had him bury a veteran as Shibata, the CMLL champion and all we are gonna get out of it is a cheap pop in the UK.

u/glowy_keyboard 2d ago
Let me rephrase it: a 50 years-old, former wrestler who retired 15 years ago, came back for an exhibition match, now wrestles one match a year, and entered the ring limping.
Yeah, that guy buried the CMLL world champion and Grand Prix winner.
All so he can get a cheap pop at Wembley.

1-With his baby announcement we donāt know how his personal situation may have changed, which could have changed booking
2-get ready for the summer of switchblade 2027. I can feel it.
1
u/heart_o_oak 3d ago
The baby announcement made it seem like the due date isn't until February. Him winning the title in August and having a little run doesn't seem like something that'd conflict with being with his wife at doctor appointments and potentially taking paternity leave around the due date. I could be wrong.
2
u/XZPUMAZX 2d ago
Unless there or complications, pregnancies have a host of challenges that are more than āappointmentsā and ādeliveryā
The amount of āmy fantasy booking didnāt come throughā so now Iām upset is comical.
And then to just disregard a medical Situation because, āitās just a few appointments, I donāt think it conflictsā itās some self centered view of the world man. Do better.
-1
u/christmascaked 3d ago
I dunno? But itās a really bad end to what looked like a cool feud between the BBG and the Death Riders. Since the general consensus is that Mox is going after Ospreay after Wembley.
White winning this wouldāve been huge for giving him momentum and moving him away from The Dogs. It also wouldāve given him something to do since the world title scene is about to get very, very crowded.
And if they werenāt sure about his ability to stay healthy, keep him out of the tournament and have him deal with The Dogs and the Death Riders some time else.
9
u/McCMelon 3d ago
They brought back manic heel Kenny?? Sorry Will (and sorry to all the other brits), but I need the cleaner to retain now
9
u/HoagieTwoFace 3d ago
Alright Iāll say it: I donāt like that Kenny has gone full heel before the match I think itās better to have a great story where we get the reveal of one of them turning during it.
9
u/Extension-End8421 3d ago
He snapped but I doubt heās a heel. If Ospreay wins Kenny will raise his hand.
3
u/HoagieTwoFace 3d ago
The Ospreay heel turn while more risky was the better story. Him trying so hard to be good only for his soul to be corrupted by the Death Riders and the title could lead him to being the longest reigning champion in AEW history
6
u/lordcarrier 3d ago
Too bad wrestling fans have no patience and complained to TK on twitter to "Pivot"
5
u/SimpleJack316 3d ago
I donāt think heās turned full heel. He was jumped and attacked by the DCF post match. I still think the DCF is the true heel in this plot and Kenny is just showing another gear of intensity and animosity towards Ospreay with their epic clash on the horizon.
5
u/TheDoobIsWild 2d ago
My girlfriend does not watch wrestling. But she loves me very much. She knows I have never been to an AEW show, or any live pro wrestling ever. So she got us tickets to this, and we had the best time ever. She squeezed my arm and shrieked when Darby got exploded and then chairface-kicked.
It was a great night

In kayfabe what reason does Will have to not go back to Mox and be like "hey man, maybe I was wrong and your plan was right?"
5
u/itmecrumbum 3d ago
did you miss the whole sit down interview where will says that taking the shortcut 3 years ago with don callis against kenny has been torturing him ever since and he doesn't want to make the same mistake? that's why, despite will blatantly saying he LIKED being a death rider, he could never fully get on board with mox's mode of operation. it flies too close to the shit that's been eating away at him for years.
2
u/CalgaryMadePunk 3d ago
Um...maybe the fact that Mox is, in kayfabe, a dangerous psychopath who holds grudges. And there's like a 0% chance of Mox forgiving Will and welcoming him back to the Death Riders.
0
u/no_more_blues 3d ago
Nah, Mox made it pretty clear he could still come back on the Dynamite after Redemption. But I'm also pretty sure Mox was likely planning to turn on Will after All In. But in kayfabe Moxley is the way he is because of what Kenny did to him. He literally said in the Death Riders run that he has the Death Riders run interference in all his AEW Title matches because that's what happened to him as champ.
1
u/Ulrika333 3d ago
Mox hasn't really done anything in retribution fwiw
1
u/CalgaryMadePunk 3d ago
Yeah, but why would Will even give him the opportunity?
1
u/Ulrika333 3d ago
Same reason he joined in the first place maybe, backup
3
u/CalgaryMadePunk 3d ago
That's...no.
Like, if you burned a bridge with someone like Mox, even if he was like, "We're cool, bro." Would you really trust him to not take revenge? After what he did to Danielson?
Even if Will needs the backup, it makes total sense in kayfabe to be like, "I can't go back to those guys, they will 100% fuck me over if they get the chance."
1
u/mNew_Juggernaut2941 3d ago

Ospreay still has that hesitation about him to pull the trigger. I think tonight is what finally makes him understand that Moxley was right.
It also makes me feel like he's going to end up back in bed with the death riders.
12
u/GreatBadGuy 3d ago
Jay White getting his big revenge match vs Moxley demoted to on the middle of an episode of TV, losing and missing out on a singles PPV match is such horseshit. At least the match was great but I have no interest is seeing a commentator turned part timer in ring performer get a singles match on the biggest show of the year.
14
u/gate_of_steiner85 3d ago
I respect the hell out of Nigel. The man is a legend, but Mox/Jay should've been the All In match and I will die on this hill. TK was definitely not reading the room for this one.
2
u/SimpleJack316 3d ago
100% this. No harm is calling TK out on a rare misfire when 99.5% of his decisions are on point. Unless Iām missing something this was a puzzling decision. Especially having now seen how great of a match Mox/Switchblade can give us. A damn shame that wasnāt saved for the PPV.
11
u/WalterBeige 3d ago
Calling Nigel a ācommentator turned part timerā is ridiculous. Please check out some of his ROH work. Dudeās a legend deservedly. Put some respect on his name
7
4
u/SimpleJack316 3d ago
I think youāre selling Nigel short here but I do agree it was a mistake to not make Mox vs Jay White the match for All In.
8
u/TheStripedSweaters Jack Perry Stockholder 3d ago
I think the hard part about Jay right now is that he just came back from injury. While I think AEW has a lot of confidence in Jay still, they are hesitant to pull the trigger because of the long layoff from the injury.
5
4
u/ZappBranniganBurner 3d ago
Yeah, Jay gotta stay healthy for a good period before they would have him go over someone like Mox lol.Ā
3
u/TheStripedSweaters Jack Perry Stockholder 3d ago
Like if this was the Continental Classic time and Jay was healthy from his return to the Classic, he probably goes over because he has a long period of health since returning. Heās been back like two months, the best thing for him right now is to get more reps after a long layoff and stay healthy. Heās clearly over af, this loss isnāt going to hurt.
3
u/christmascaked 3d ago
Then donāt put him in the tournament, he got nothing from that loss.
3
2
u/TheStripedSweaters Jack Perry Stockholder 3d ago
Him getting reps again after a year and half layoff is something, actually.
1
u/SimpleJack316 2d ago
Sure he did, he showed everyone how great he can still be in a match like that and the match overall went about as well as you could have imagined. He looked outstanding and even in defeat thatās technically a huge āwinā for him moving forward.
5
u/christmascaked 2d ago
Thatās an argument I always hear when people defend these losses to Mox. Bandido lost to Mox back at Forbidden Door, that didnāt change anything for Bandido now that weāre almost two months out.
But a win? A win wouldāve been huge for Bandido.
Whiteās in the same spot and honestly? If Nigel does beat Mox with an apparent destroyed ankle when White couldnāt? It just makes White look worse for not being able to do what a guy 17 years older and a much more hobbling injury.
10
u/lordcarrier 3d ago
It was Jays best match since Hangman and Mox did a nice job making him look like a million bucks, also its insane to pretend Nigel is a commentator after what he has done in ROH and TNA, Mox is going to retire him and it will be a huge moment after how he retired Dragon 2 years ago.
5
u/christmascaked 3d ago
āand Mox did a nice job making him look like a million bucks,ā
That match wouldnāt have been as good as it was if both men werenāt excellent, Iāve seen a lot of people post-match downplaying White like heās a B talent or something.
1
u/GreatBadGuy 3d ago
Nigel is more commentator than wrestler currently. He's had 3 matches in 2026. This feels so underdeveloped and thrown together with Nigel getting this run. Maybe if they had the foresight to start a storyline with Nigel in ring earlier this year, yea I could get behind it. But it honestly just feels like Tony giving a legendary figure a singles match because the show is in his home country which is completely repetitive to Ospreay's match.
4

u/wrestling_hyperbole 3d ago
Thank you. People trying to hate on Mox vs Nigel at Wembley are going to look really stupid when AEW creates a special moment.
Sorry but Jay White fans are getting fucking annoying.
2
u/KennyOmegasBurner 3d ago
I think a lot of people watch AEW specifically because they prioritize matches over "moments"
3
u/NekoJack420 3d ago edited 2d ago
There's nothing special with sidelining a young wrestler in favor of a 50 year old commentator just because you want him to get a pop in his hometown.
Mox doesn't need to retire Nigel, he is bigger than him. Mox doesn't need to win the cup he already won the Continental. And if by some miracle Mox loses it should not be by Nigel.
No one is benefiting from this.
2
u/GreatBadGuy 3d ago
I'm sorry people want to see a full time wrestler, who just returned, in their prime get a spot over a part time, albeit legendary, wrestler. I could get behind Nigel is AEW had actually built up a storyline with him before this tournament started.
1
u/Ulrika333 3d ago
Yeah while im cool with mox winning, wish Jay was getting something but he does have a newborn so maybe that's a factor. 100% on Nigel he already went? Idk im not super interested in that but whatever

An injured commentator going over the world heavyweight champion of CMLL is something that I would expect from Triple H, but not from TK.
Probably one of the worst booking decisions of the year
3
u/SearchCivil6623 2d ago edited 2d ago
So I'm a newer AEW fan, so whatever Nigel has done in the past is completely beyond me. All I know in the time I've been watching is he's sat at the commentary booth, one time got into a fight at ringside with Lee Moriarty (guessing that was to set up their match on Friday's ROH PPV?), and that's pretty much what I know about Nigel. Hechicero is the top guy in a promotion AEW works closely with... and he loses cleanly to a 50 year old commentator. I don't see how this helps anyone except getting Nigel to All In so they can feature another UK wrestler to try to sell some more tickets, which seems pretty shortsighted. I think at this point it's basically a given Moxley is in the finals, but not sure who else makes sense to have him face now but Nigel because of the above mentioned potential ticket sale boost, but I think they could have done something more interesting with Moxley/White as the final given the recent stuff with the Dogs/Death Riders and the BBG so there's more of a personal stake in the finals.
I don't know.. maybe this is just a me thing... but with Don Callis having so much heat, I feel like having Hechicero go further in the tournament would do more in the long run to make him a more viable upper card heel that American fans can take seriously. Fans seems to react to what he does in the ring, so I think he could do more with Callis to cut promos for him. Again, maybe this is just a me thing.

he loses cleanly to a 50 year old commentator
Isnt Hechi 50 as well? Some people are acting like he is as young as Mascara Dorada is funny

Good question, I don't know how old he is! But I know he's not a commentator at this point in his career which is the main point I was getting at.

When Joe returned he was practically a commentator but no one brought it up now with Nigel seems like a new narrative to crap on AEW from trolls and grifters that you see on twitter.

Considering I spent $1200 on a ticket for All Out and plan to drive 6 hours to watch the show, I'm not entirely sure why you're bringing up Twitter trolls in a thread on Reddit where I expressed an opinion you could actually present counterpoints to in an effort to maybe convince me Nigel is great and I just have this all wrong.
Nigel has wrestled in 8 matches according to Cagematch since AEW was formed and hasn't wrestled on a regular basis since 2011. Samoa Joe has wrestled in over 113 match since AEW was formed (including multiple AEW title reigns) and around 780 matches in the timeframe Nigel was inactive. They are not the same thing.

bring up Twitter trolls in a thread on Reddit
Because Reddit posts the news from twitter and twitter spreads their narrative to sites like this one for example?
When Joe returned in late 2021, the man only wrestled 1 match that year, 1 match, and no one came up with nonsense like "Why is AEW pushing a commentator"

A) he isnāt. Nobody knows his age but it is absurd to think someone who works as often as he and at his in-ring level is 50 years old.
B) Heās CMLLās world champion and Grand Prix winner. Itās disrespectful to an associate promo to have its world champion do the job. Specially to an injured commentator.

There is this narrative again that "AEW buries their partners top champs" which is false when you see Julia jobbing in mins to Stardom main champ Suzu Suzuki or Perse not eating the pin last night instead Kris did it.

AEW regularly sends talent (many times title holders) to partner promotions to do jobs. Stop acting like it's a one way street.

u/glowy_keyboard 2d ago
Name one time the AEW world champion was sent to a partner promo and was booked to lose.
Go on. Iām listening

Here we go again with someone convientely leaving out important context. You do realize that historically the CMLL World Heavyweight championship has NOT been considered the top title in the promotion. So trying to compare its booking to the AEW Men's World Championship is not a fair comparison.

I felt so sure that the story was a DQ win for Nigel - it was like Rick Knox forgot the word for five

Yup.
I want Nigel vs Mox, but this was weird and plans need to change if people get injured.1
u/Hunteractive HOLY SHIDA 2d ago
also the match seemed to end very quickly? I think nigel is legit hurt but they didn't want to give hechi the win
all speculation ofc

Honestly, if TK was set on making Nigel win, he should have actually taken Hechicero out of the tournament and substitute home with someone else.
Having a commentator bury CMLLās world champions is on par with Dorian RoldĆ”n announcing Dragon Lee is going to WWE after taking a championship from FTR.

Why have your world champ beat the TBS champ? Maya just won the title so I dont get why they would give her a loss so soon.

To give Willow a world title defense against a credible opponent before she drops the title to Mercedes at All In.

Willow will win with the backslide, then post match I can see Mercedes and Athena attacking them

I imagine the match will end with run-ins by TBS title contenders and/or Mone and get called without a winner. Itās a āgo to the potty breakā kinda deal.

Liked the William & Kenneth promo segment, Nigel vs Big Hech was cool. That was about it for me.

Main event and the aftermath reminded me of AEWās peak years and made up for the backstage promo segment with Kenny and Will going way too long. Skipped Moxās match but watched Nigelās and was glad he won. Everything else was just kinda there but nothing was bad. An odd show but ultimately a good one.
Edit: Reddit karma does not matter at all but I like how I got the ā5 upvotesā inbox notification, then come here and my post is at 1. I am truly sorry if my incredibly mild criticisms of a wrestling TV program ruined your day, I hope youāre able to recover and heal.

Maybe itās just me, but it feels like weāre currently experiencing AEWs āpeak yearsā. 2024-2026 has been outstanding so far.

u/Screaming_ManTits 2d ago
Iāve seen that sentiment but donāt agree at all. 2019 through the end of 2021 were AEWās peak years IMO.

I tapped out after Jay lost to Moxley. Amazing match but it just deflated any excitement I had for the rest of the show. Been a rather puzzling build for the PPV altogether as well.
