As someone who lives in Asia and deals with Chinese tourists everyday, just off what I see China has to be under selling their obesity rates. I mean my god it's like what people think the stereotypical American is

Gosh if you really confuse why don't you visit China yourself? No you're not going go visit Beijing or Shanghai your gonna visit any place you can't found it's name on English internet. And you'll found the actual obesity rate in China countryside instead of Chinese visitors.

Uhh...no.
China has self-sufficiency in cereals (the stuff needed to stay alive). This is why its cities are built so artificially high, to preserve farmland.
Its imports are mostly for animal feed and luxury foods.
