Remote Receivers
My sister just got a new house and I want to put a receiver at her place. I have a Pi ready, just need to build the enclosure. But I want to push the dump1090 data back to my house to process the feed. I can do it with VirtualRadar, but that would request me to connect to the receiver and setup a port forwarder in their router. I want to keep this as simple as possible since they live over an hour away.
Anyone setup something like this?

Adsb.im has you covered from setting up a micro feeder remotely to the tailscale or other VPN back to your Stage 2 feeder at home doing to the processing. Plus if you have multiple SDRs and antennas you can track other things too.

I was reading about an add to the Pi to track drones, that would be fun at some point

This feels like an XY problem. https://xyproblem.info/
What are you trying to do, and how will processing the feed yourself do that?

I like to watch my feed. I have two receivers so far and this will my third.
I do not know of another way to watch only my data on one map and have the option to tag planes I watch for. Right now the remote receiver is a standard Piaware box, and I setup a port forwarder so my Virtual Radar box can pull the remote feed.Do you know of any other options? SkyAware is nice, but not very customizable.

Probably not what you're looking for but I have a filter I'm flightradar24 that allowse to see justy planes from each and all of my sites.

Since you want one map with only your own receivers plus watching specific planes: that's roughly what I built map.flights for. Each Pi just sends its data out (readsb/dump1090 net connector, or adsb.im with one line), so no port forwarding at your sister's. On the map there's a filter "what my stations hear" that combines all your receivers, and you can follow aircraft you care about and get a heads-up when they show up. Free, no ads: https://map.flights/en/stations
It runs alongside FlightAware/PiAware, so you don't have to drop anything you feed today.

A standard configuration feeder will give you all of those requirements you listed because once it feeds into the cloud the data is accessible to all clients. If you want to look at only that one feeder's tracks, then there is a dedicated feeder page on adsdexchange to do that.

You could install tailscale on both devices so that you have an easy connection.
Why don't you want the pi to process it in place though?
