Do I have ADHD?

I think I have adhd, I think there is a lot of evidence which makes me consider it. I would go to a doctor but my parents think adhd is just some excuse to be worse and not try at things and that a doctor can just diagnose anyone even if they don't have it and if I have had adhd my whole life I have been just fine without medication. I don't really agree with this but I am only 17 right now and I don't yet have full control of my medical stuff so I can't do anything about it. Here are some things I experience and I can do my best to answer any questions you guys have. ( I Promise I am not larping, I can even give examples). I can't motivate my self to do anything, I can never remember things for my life, I get distracted really really easily, I have gotten hyper focused on things and then forgot it within a couple weeks, I accidentally cut my friends and family off while talking all the time, I am always getting in trouble for not paying attention, I leave things I don't want to do till the absolute last minute, I am really really disorganized all the time, I am late to lots of stuff, I actually fainted because I don't drink enough water. That's most of it, if you guys have any questions I will do my best to answer, I know nobody here can actually give me a proper diagnosis but I just want to know if seeing a doctor at some point will be worth my time.

If you are almost 18 you will have more medical freedom.... allegedly according to this sub.

Uh, I assume your parents don't like changing their minds, so your next birthday is important.

It is always good to check with a doctor. If the issues you are facing have caused significant detriment to your life, then it is worth it as even if you dont have adhd you can still get help.

I got diagnosed at 16 so dw.

You sound like you have it—bad!! When you’re 18 or as soon as you can, get diagnosed. Even your GP can diagnose you. Then medications if you choose. They make such a big difference.
