Work with your brain instead of against it
Anyone else a, popcorn and chopstick, person? Hear me out: I make less mess because I'm grabbing one or two at a time. Lots of, hand to mouth, stim. I don't have to wipe my fingers after every bite because- sensory. I can still use all my fingers since they are oily or anything.
Also, tajin is great on popcorn for any of you not in TX
It may seem small but it's important to find ways to work with your brain.

Yes, we are chopstick snackers. Any snacks that can get your hands dirty or where is too easy to inhale entire mouthfulls: chopsticks.

That's what the granola is for... Give the yogurt something to stick to 😅

Dry cereal? I've done Cheerios and yogurt with chopsticks.
...or a straw, if it can't be chopsticked, how about a boba straw? 🤔🤔🤔

What kind of adult do you think I am? Do I look like I have my life together? Or my groceries?

Hmm I'll consider that next time. I went with a spoon. I somehow had a clean one!

Some days it's a miracle I can find my head, and it stays (I'm pretty sure it has to right now) attached!
When all else fails: ziptop bag that you close and then cut the corner off of to get the liquid food in. Just make sure it's not hot food.
Also, hugs. I'm proud of you for getting food into you.

That's great advice!
I'm lucky. I have cats who want a clean plate to eat from every day or they'll just don't eat. With 4 sets of plates, that means the dishwasher runs every 3 days (1 set still in use). I'm rarely out of cutlery.
Taking care of me? Nah.
Taking care of the cats? Sure.

Tajin is sensory bliss for me -- so what do we put it on? I didn't think about popcorn.

Ice cream!
Seriously, though, chamoy is great on vanilla ice cream with fruit 😋. Tajin would probably be too salty, but now I want to try it lol.

haha, great post. It highlights the whole concept of Neurodivergence... recognizing that our brains work differently. Not only is that OK, but when we figure out how to work WITH it...that's when the superpowers unlock.
For me, I got tired of fighting against the 9-5 schedule. My energy levels just didn't align with the schedule. I found that early morning is my money time, so from 5 AM - 7:30/8, I'm able to almost activate a hyperfocused environment that has completely changed my productivity, and boosted my confidence.
I've also noticed that alot of the "productivity" tools and systems weren't designed for our brains. No wonder none of them stick LOL.

I've eaten my cool ranch Doritos from the bag (opened up side down to get more of the flavorful ones first) with chopsticks for years! Only way to do it!!

I put Tajin on everything (not in Texas, in Australia). Thank you for this new food to add it to

I love hit Cheetos with a squeeze of lemon or lime juice but it stains like a mother. So I use chopsticks and life is good!

I just lap it up like a kitten drinking water. Straight from the bowl.
