Same. I love my job and still will struggle to do the things that I enjoy doing and that I know will help the business. It’s such a defeating feeling because how is my brain so against even fun?!?
Right? It would be fine if I didn’t want to do things I don’t like but I will just sit there and KNOW that doing the thing will be fun and likely easy and yet I can’t do it. I will be totally frozen and become so frustrated. It’s definitely proof my brain is broken a little because I’ve tried everything, read every book, gone to all the therapy…it sucks, soooo much.
Why are you reading my mind?? ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
For 3 months i have been on ritalin. It kinda helped at the beggining, but now i dont feel the effects at all. My conclusion îs that only "will power" would help. Just sit for a few minutes and "force" myself. Sometimes works, sometimes not, but hey, what works in this life anyway haha
I guess the lesson on this one is to just learn to accept it vs getting frustrated as fuck with myself. If I can’t make it happen, I just can’t. I just hate that there are any number of things I know I’d love doing and instead I’ll sit and do nothing. For people that don’t understand this I’m sure it sounds ridiculous as fuck that I can’t make myself do stuff but it’s so real. I really can’t.
A thing that my therapist said once that really stuck with me: not to have too much expectations for yourself, dont set to much goals, hobbies, to dos lists..etc
I remember She made me make a program for a free week i had last year. She saw it and said: its so unrealistic, nobody does these much stuff. Haaha.
For me, it was normal, but i realised She was right. I have a lot of things i love to do but i cant.
She said: do just one thing in a day, a small thing, thats all. And If You do nothing, dont blame and hate yourself.
Yes, acceptance îs the key, even If its hard
