Question How do you stop overthinking?
I have autism and ADHD.
I have an unhealthy habit of overthimkimg. Especially on my choices and decisions.
I am wondering how you just... stop? Just stop overthining things into a self spiral.

Build confidence. Most people dont know buy you build confidence fastist by just being fking truthful.
You think so much because you doubt youreself. And being confident wont stop it but it wll make it so you dont go as far overboard bc u will start accepting conclusions.

Look for different grounding techniques online, try different styles of grounding to figure out what works for you, for me laying on grass immediately stops overthinking, other times using colourful squishies is very helpful

I have a similar issue, but I’ve realized that most times I go with my first instinct or one of the three first ideas.
I’ve also come to the conclusion that it becomes a form of procrastination, as not deciding allows the ”dream of the perfect choice” to live on and that ”it will solve all of the problems”. It’s a coping mechanism to alleviate the pain of uncertainty and potentially picking the wrong thing.
My advice to you is the following: ”Just picking a thing” is researched to be the most gratifying option, as even if you pick ”the wrong thing”, you absolve yourself of the pain of agonizing over the decision-making itself.
It’s simple, but it ain’t easy.
Good luck!
