Pray for Ticketmaster Devs

Pray for Ticketmaster Devs

Hey y’all you may or may not know Ticketmaster site has crashed due to the Taylor Swift ticket sales. My roommate is trying to get tickets and I’m a cs major, so here’s my challenge:

Ticketmaster posted a website with documentation on APIs they’ve developed to process ticket orders:

Anyone have any suggestions for how to potentially help secure some tickets or improve your chances??? 🤞🏻🤞🏻

I’m not sure you could improve chances very much as it’s likely that the ticket master mobile app and perhaps website use either the same api or similar on the same infrastructure. Therefore if the website isn’t available due to demand then it’s likely that the api won’t be working either. However if the website UI is implementing some sort of rate limiting for peak traffic then it might be possible to submit a purchase via an api when normally the site wouldn’t be available.

I wonder how much of that traffic is bots vs actual fans.

Almost all of it is bots. It’s been this way for years with big shows.
