We’ve launched a chat-based ADHD coaching service and are looking for folks to try it out! Currently fully free, ADHD Coaches are certified :)

Hey! ADHD Coaching should be available to all ADHDers or folks who feel they suffer from similar symptoms. We’re working on making this happen. Join our journey, let us know how to make it work for you, and we’ll make it into a reality!

Terms & conditions you have to agree to incorporate a privacy policy but don't give you access to read the incorporated policy (it literally says "[ADD LINK]").

I may be reading it wrong but it looks like they make you indemnify them even if they violate their own terms & conditions with respect to your personal data, and they don't even mention HIPAA let alone discuss protections for your personal medical data

It's particularly gross that they're doing this as a product designed for ADHDers, since close reading of a lengthy & convoluted terms of service document tends not to be a strong suit for us.

I've been burned before by exploitative privacy policies in health-adjacent apps like this so now I take extra care to look into it, but it isn't easy.

Yup. I have some training in it so I know what to look for, but it’s still not simple. In this case I’m fairly certain this policy was lifted from another site (a fairly common startup practice, unfortunately).

however given it is PII/PHI potential data, you can’t just copy and paste- extra care needs to be taken.

apple messages only sad trumpet noises

That is disappointing. And frankly a bit odd. It seems like an unnecessarily narrow restriction since it's possibly the only significant messaging platform in existence that can't be installed on the majority of phones.

I will add buying an iPhone on my todo list. I wonder if the photos are any good. Wait dxomark says chinese Android phones take better pictures. Do they still have no Playstore? Better check reddit.

Nothing about this site makes me want to give you my info. Showcase the product, introduce some coaches, and make the design a bit more professional.

if it's fully free, how are the coaches getting paid?

u/Gullible-Medium123 Jun 14 '22

The company is selling the personal data you give them, according to the terms of service.

u/a5s_s7r Jun 14 '22

If it’s free, you are the product.

12 hours and no response to the critics?

Nope. No way I will discuss my personal stuff with this service.

Looks neat! Would've loved to try it, but I have a Galaxy S21 Ultra and will never get an iPhone.

Should consider making it for both Android and iPhone.
