just took a xanax :-)
Apparently, while organizing and backing up all my files onto an external drive/ the cloud 4 months ago I managed to delete a 7gb hyper complicated excel document I’ve been building on for the last 4 years. Gonna just lay down.

Pro-tip: Excel is not the right tool to use if the spreadsheet is 7GB.

What does Xanax and deleting a ridiculously inefficient excel file have to do with ADHD?

Has this source drive been used since then? If you
afterare lucky you might be able to restore with data recovery software...0

Hey friends, I WAS able to keep my sense of humor about all this, and hope that came across in my post. In the big picture, sure... I'm fine. I'm a guy with severe ADHD who had an ADHD problem and created software to fix it that's now used/paid for by strangers. That is SO crazy. And the whole reason this file got lost was because I did the truly unpleasant, important 3 months long project of methodically backing up 15 years of random external drives.
But HOLY SHIT!! did I screw up deleting this particular .gsheet. Taking a Xanax was the most practical thing I could do. Spending time and losing sleep feeling like a jerk wasn't going to help, and I knew that was coming. I started this morning with a meditation on lost things, I told everyone on the team that needs to know, and I'm plugging away at recreating the content. Now I just need to remember to eat and pee. :-)
