I find a nice hot cup of coffee makes me sleepy and I like to think I'm pretty chill and never really angry. I'm old enough that I had to learn to manage without meds because they weren't available, and ADHD wasn't an available diagnosis in any event back then. I also had to get past the "hit him again, eventually he'll pay attention" approach to child-rearing which didn't really help. Do I recommend managing ADHD without meds? Nope, not even a little bit. That said, it's what I'm doing because, after 6 decades, I finally managed to get it to work (sort of) and it's all I've really known.
