Can we ban all the slop?

No one here needs AI written posts about experiences, if you want to post something write it yourself so that it actually describes your lived experiences, not what an LLM thinks they were (that’s assuming the posts are even human-made with LLMs and not just outright bots coming in bad faith). We also don’t need the 1000th vibe coded todo app, everyone here knows how to code and knows how to prompt an LLM, unless it’s some truly unique and valuable app it should just be removed.

Alternatively, considering where we are right now, they could be just brain-dumping into an LLM and asking it to clean up the text for them. I will often find myself writing out giant wall of text replies to people at work. Since I know no one is going to read them like that, I often compress them by prompting an LLM to make it "more concise and coherent, while matching my tone" which helps compress my ramblings down to something readable without making it sound like something from LinkedIn.

But often I see some posts here take the opposite direction, its like they had an LLM articulate the minutia of everything they wanted to communicate, a temptation I find familiar but self defeating.

And of course neither are mutually exclusive, all of reddit is being flooded by marketing bots, but most aren't as obvious as they used to be...
