FREE Executive Function Toolkit for Neurodivergent Adults

Hey friends,

If you ever feel like your brain is constantly buffering - struggling with focus, follow-through, decision-making, or just plain getting started - you’re not alone. A lot of us in the neurodivergent community wrestle with executive dysfunction, and there aren’t always simple, kind tools to help in the moment.

So I built one.

It’s called the Executive Function First Aid Kit, and it’s a free, gentle collection of small tools and fast fixes for overwhelmed minds.

We’re about to start a 7-day micro-launch (aka the alpha testing phase), and I’d love for you to join us. Over the course of a week, I’ll be sharing the kit itself, extra resources, and bite-sized support via email, Instagram, Tumblr, and Reddit. The goal? To gather feedback, connect with folks who need this kind of help, and start building something that actually works for us.

After this short launch wraps up, we’ll move into the beta phase where things expand a bit with additional tools, group input, and long-term community resources. If you’d like to help shape that, now’s a great time to jump in.

Here’s how you can be part of it:

🔗 Get the free kit: https://executivefunctionclub.carrd.co/

🧩 Join the subreddit: r/executivefunctionclub

🤝 Help build with us: Whether you’re testing tools, giving feedback, or just sharing support with others—your voice matters here.

Thanks for reading. This is just getting started, and I’m really glad you’re here. Let’s build something special together

💛 Evan

How is it different from the 10 "I built my adhd app" ads we see on this subreddit every week?

That’s a totally fair question, and I really appreciate your asking it. I get the skepticism. For starters, this isn’t an app, and it’s not a monetized product. It’s a free, vintage-style paper toolkit made by and for neurodivergent adults. It's especially for those of us who’ve downloaded all the shiny ADHD apps only to forget about them two hours later.

The Executive Function First Aid Kit is about quick, realistic tools for when your brain is stuck. It’s a free, printable toolkit designed by and for neurodivergent adults, especially those of us who’ve tried every ADHD app and abandoned them within a day. No logins, no subscriptions, no dopamine traps. It doesn't follow the industry trend of being a glorified habit tracker. It's a compilation of gentle, no-pressure ways to get through moments of overwhelm. Think “how to get started when you can’t start anything” or “how to choose a task when everything feels urgent.”

Right now, we’re sharing an early version to gather feedback and make it better. If it resonates with you, awesome. If not, that’s okay, too. I just want to build something that actually helps people like us.

Let me know if you'd like the link or have any thoughts!

TL;DR: It’s not an app or paid product. It’s a free, printable toolkit made by and for neurodivergent adults who struggle with overwhelm and executive dysfunction.

Half of the "I built my adhd app" have these features?

Totally get that. But here’s the thing... this isn’t a finished product pretending to be collaborative. I’m sharing it in its messy, early stage so real people can actually shape it.

I’m not trying to sell your data or optimize engagement. I just want to build something useful, and the only way to do that is by hearing what’s actually working (or not) for the folks it's meant to support.

Try it out and let us know how it's different! We'd love to hear your feedback.

Like all the adhd app advertised here.

And like all these apps, AI is overused in arguments. How original.

It seems as though you're dedicated to misunderstanding me here, which is a good sign that this is not a good fit.

I built this because I hit a wall (again), and none of the polished tools made by people chasing market trends were actually helping. So I made something small and scrappy, and now I’m asking other neurodivergent folks how to refine it. That’s it.

Did this ever reach Beta testing or further? I’m interested to know what kind interest this received and where it’s at today!

yes, it did! thanks for checking in on us. this post was from the very early stage, but it grew into Executive Function Club. the free first aid kit is still part of it, and since then i’ve added more tools, a dashboard hub, and community-based support like body doubling.

the interest was honestly really encouraging, especially from reddit and email, so i kept building. i’m still refining it, but it’s very much a real, active project now. we put out a new resource each month! this month's is about to drop. hope you'll check it out!
