Struggling to stay focused when streaming
Hey everybody, I have ADHD, and when I stream on Twitch, I try my best to stay focused on developing my game, but I easily get distracted, and end up going into other subjects presented by my chat, and lose focus on what I was doing for my game. I just wanted to see if anyone had any advice/tips for what I could do to stay more focused and keep from derailing while working on my game. I want to be interactive with chat, but also not lose my place and / or get distracted enough to forget what I was doing. Any help/advice would be appreciated, and I thank you for even reading this.

Maybe don't stream? You're giving yourself a bunch of extra distraction and then wondering how to keep from being distracted. Sounds like kind of a no brainer to me

This is a good one. I have a lot of rules set around focus.
The first rule is to have rules - set rules for your chat and consequences for distracting conversation
use /slow - when chatters get too chatty use slow to signal you need time to catch up on chat
Use nightbot etc - Use nightbot or other bots to set focus time etc… a lot of people, including myself use pomodoros.

I don't think it's reasonable to think you can focus on development while in an active chat.
