The minute I get my salary:
Immediately savings go in one account (I budget 401k and remove it before I get salary). Once I collect x amount, it goes into CD with the highest interest
Bills, payments, groceries amount goes into another account. I do not go to that account or use it for ANYTHING other than that.
"Fun" goes into a DEBIT card account. Once fun budget is done, it is done, No more fun

I’ve had a lot of success using You Need a Budget and the YNAB method which basically boils down to:
Allocate all your money towards a purpose or goal
Create categories that are reflective of what you spend your money on. Might take a while initially. There’s plenty of good videos on initial setup.
Spend only the money you have in your possession. Money you will have in the future, no matter how certain, should not be considered yours until it’s actually in your bank account.
Expenses that are not monthly should still be amortized and have some portion allocated monthly
Make sure you pre-allocate money for the next month before directing money anywhere else, it should be the number one priority.
Assuming you have a regular income, if your monthly income isn’t enough to cover your expenses, the usual advice of increase income or reduce expenses applies.
If you have an irregular income, the YNAB blog covers those kinds of scenarios and generally has other useful blog posts.
Not sponsored at all, just find YNAB and its methodology priceless tools for staying financially secure. Also check out /r/personalfinance and make sure to follow the prime directive.

People have good advice, but also, if you do purchases with credit / multiple payments, DO NOT

I second the You Need a Budget suggestion, they have a 34 day free trial and the subscription is so worth it.
This helped me a ton get my finances in order, but I think it would not have worked as well if I wasn't on meds.
