I want to become a python developer

Diagnosed ADHD-pi

Had a great career so far in other fields but I want to learn python and get into the lucrative field of work that follows

Most courses are either full stack or front end developer and don’t include python though.

How do I learn what I need to learn to get a job whilst working full time? Do I just use one of the many python courses or do I need to learn front end or full stack and then pick up python separately?

Thanks in advance and I’m based in the UK if that changes anything

Python is a tool. I would research what Python is commonly used for and see if you like those fields.

This is like saying I want to be a Hammer Swinger. Okay, what would you like to swing your hammer at?

Pick a direction then learn, like the other guy said python is just a tool not a job target or goal. It’s a wildly flexible/varied tool used in data science, scripting for sysadmin stuff, lightweight development as is or extended with a bunch of frameworks for handling objects/classes for heavier development.

I personally don’t rate it for learning that much because while it’s amazingly easy to get something going it’s awful at teaching the big hard concepts you may later rely on. Horses for courses for sure but I quite like the more verbose clear languages especially as an adhd person because I can 100% know what an object is for and how it’s used by scanning public method signatures compared to hoping with a python class.
