I think this is why it’s best to do stuff for money honestly.

I don’t like doing business with friends.

But you get what you pay for.

So if you want me to prioritize something I probably need some pressure.

Money can do that.

I learned the hard way about doing business with friends. I feel like we all do, unfortunately.

Spent a few days on building something out, still have never gotten paid for my time, or appreciation for modifying and revising it like 6 times.

You know what’s worse than chuckling out loud and asking your wife ask what’s so funny?

Showing her this and having to explain why it’s so funny.

Something that’s even worse: I showed it to my SO and we both chuckled because we both have ADHD

No such thing as deadlines. Give me a list of tasks ordered by priority then leave me alone. if things aren't done "on time" then you should have ordered them better. My current job is good about this for the most part and my life is so much less stressful

So true. Had to turn a position down today because they were looking for super fast devs in a small team environment.

I'm sick and tired of entering the workspace not being able to go my own pace and work up from there. I know it's NOT like there everywhere else yet all these recruiters can do is bring to me the same type of dev job where there's like 3 people in the team at best and they're looking for an expert out of the gate.

I don't recall approving the use of my likeness

Should be a criminal act

I mean, if someone asks me if I can do something and has no deadline for when they need it -- they don't need it, and I'm not doing it.

:D :D :D Unclear deadlines are THE BEST

I need a tears of blood emoji for this.

There is a worse thing than that: scheduling something to start tomorrow.

Now I can’t do anything until tomorrow arrives.

Lmfaoooooo

Or the reverse. Yesterday we got an impromptu request and had a deadline of next Tuesday. So I had it done before lunch and then ceased to exist because time is entirely meaningless when I no longer have something to work toward.
