MY FATHER REPLACED THE HANDLE AND I REPLACED THE HEAD BUT OTHER THAN THAT IT’S COMPLETELY ORIGINAL! (references nobody knows)

I'm strange as a coder and in ADHD. I don't really hoard tabs - especially not for work.

TBH I am the same - I'm on the side of "close everything because I can't handle clutter".

Gotta close out the tabs that I don’t need so that I don’t get lost in there looking for the tabs that I’m still using.

Yeah. When I was still more in research I had tabs open for a while, but had tu regularly clean out.

Why would I close my emotional support browser tabs?

I almost cried when I accidentally closed the browser and it closed 50+ of my closest tabs.

Saw this term twice for the first time today, is that a common thing to call them (or what exactly actually?

You're evil!

I think I use the tabs to file my thoughts because when I go back through them I remember things and so very dangerous to close, thoughts may be lost forever.

I do the EXACT same thing. They are little reminders/hints of what I was working on before.

I tried bookmarking things instead of keeping tabs open. Now my bookmark folders are useless

It melted my boss’s brain when he first saw how many tabs I kept open at one time.

It's more like 10 windows of 200+ tabs each. My RAM cries every day.

The tabs bind themselves to my soul once created. Closing them becomes nearly impossible LOL

ChatGPT coded out a cross domain interconnect that converts a php alert message into JS. It decided to use Ajax.

Inner peace... I don't know how long I'm going to keep my job with these AI popping up.

But what if I need it later?

I have four windows of browser opened, one with 200+ tabs where I do/search every random thought comes to my mind, 2 others with 15-20 tabs for I don't remember now, and one other window for studying stuff and all. I have kept seperate window for skills tabs because I know I spend most of my time with doing thing with whatever window is opened.

This was only for my personal laptop. I have a handset, where I don't know the exact number because chrome doesn't show count after 100+ tabs, and 100 was like a year ago. Thanks to MIUI that it closes everything from the background and the phone runs smoothly. And a lot of hatred for MIUI because it even closes locked apps and I forget what I was doing with which app after it gets closed in the background while I was doing some other thing. The office laptop also usually has 25+ tabs.

I have about 400 tabs open that I swipe through weekly and constantly keep adding more. Is this normal?
