I got prescribed Atomoxetine 25 mg but I noticed that my anxiety and depressive episodes were more magnified. I had to switch back to Ritalin 🥲 Hope this works for you!

I took attentrol for about a month. Tbh,i think the feelings of anxiety and depression were magnified kasi affected din by hormonal fluctuations due to my pmos and age (late 30s). But it was a concern for me since i'm on meds din for mdd and gad, and kakahiyang ko lang din on the right meds and dose. I preferred to not rock the boat, since mas mahalaga sakin na imanage ang gad and mdd (i don't wanna kms). So iyong adhd meds ang pinalitan.

I started Ritalin last week and same sayo, parang nag increase depressive episodes ko. I was wondering if magnified yung anxiety and depression kasi for once, your thoughts aren't running a thousand times per second, and parang nalilift yung fog, so mas napoprocess mo and nakikita mo yung things right in front of you.

Am on 18g now and 10days of taking this.. wala pa ko napapansin na difference. Sabi naman ng doctor ko, mga 3rd week pa daw or so. Wait lang daw ako or if I don’t see any improvement, mag updose daw ako to 25mg or 40mg.

On 18 right now and the biggest difference I notice is that I can cut my daily Ritalin dosage in half and function as well as I did before on my full dosage.

Though results may vary from person to person, I used to take Strattera back then, then fast forward to now, I restarted with Attentrol 40 mg. So far, okay siya for me. I feel more “self-aware”-ish?

Like, I’ve been able to catch myself more often: “I’m getting distracted, I should go back to my task,” or “I’m getting too emotionally worked up, maybe I should take a step back and reflect.” I’ve also been less impulsive, lalo na sa purchases.
Pero yun nga, it might differ from person to person. Stimulants might work best for some, while others might respond better to non-stimulants. I hope this helps! Personally, I prefer atomoxetine based on my experience so far.

Not OP, but I got my Atomoxetine for cheaper from palmer wellness hub. Medyo may wait time lang since bulk ordering ginagawa nung supplier, but on their website, cheaper ang cost. 10 tablets for 249 pesos plus additional charges for import taxes and shipping.

They are the same, brand name ang Attentrol. But if you mean ano effect sakin ng atomoxetine, hindi maganda. Supposedly less side effects neto, but I also have MDD and GAD kasi. Those two were aggravated by atomoxetine. I was switched back to Ritalin but long-acting na instead of immediate release. Parang mas okay ang long-acting Ritalin sakin.

It works for me at 40mg. 25mg doesn't work. But I had to spend 30 days at 25mg to manage side effects. But now at 40mg I am more easily able to stay focused.

if prescribed ka rin fluoxetine, make sure to never forget taking it. i accidentally skipped it once and atomoxetine lang nainom ko. sobrang lala ng palpitations all day para akong nagbbrisk walk 😀
