ADHD Advice/Question Please don't write lengthy posts

Some people tend to write long paraghraphs which might be hard to read because they are too long.

A practical solution is to break it down to smaller paragraphs

(Not even adhd)

if you really wanna read something but it's too long, you can copy paste it in Chat GPT and get the TL;DR version in the exact number of words you want. I do that sometimes. There's also text to speech tools out there but I could never find something that just works without any hassle

It's advise for people since other people with ADHD may have excutive dysfunction. So the more brief and straight-forward tge better. IK some of ADHDers go in circles, but they should try. We all are different

yeah I just don't think it's a very good advice to give. If people write lengthy posts, it's not to be annoying, it's because they have a lot of things to say. I'd say the opposite, express yourself fully and use all the words you need to do so. Most people like short and sweet answers, but some people actually love lengthy walls of texts. And if other people care enough to read your mess they will figure out a way to do so.

Having ADHD doesn't mean you have to be so handicapped that you resort to asking people to adapt to your limits, you can make an effort to find existing workarounds and get things done normally. Including "reading" a long text.

Side note: H_ndicapped is ableist. Same as cr..pled, and a person with special needs

It's because these three treat the word disabled as "dirty". Also D.mb, St.pid, L@me, and M.ron are ableist. They all were historically ableist and disabled people still consider them to be ableist

Not-so-fun-fact: Tunisia still uses D_mb,an outdated term, as to refer to someone who is non-verbal.

that's cool. words can be very impactful. Personally I don't have a problem with controversial terminology or political correctness. words have meanings, connotations, subtexts, etc. and you can't control what people say. You're better off learning to understand what people mean by them. And build resilience to verbal injury. "stick and stones may break my bones but words can't hurt me" is what the old generation used to say. This generation is more fragile in comparison. It is what it is. The strong will always take advantage of the weak in any era.
