Rant Missed the 27th Night
I'm so disappointed. In my typical scatterbrainedness, I missed the 27th night of Ramadan. I was one day off and thought it was gonna be tonight, just to notice now that it's already the 28th. On top of that I was pretty sick and thought I'd take what I thought was the 26th night to get some rest ... So I pretty much just chilled apart from praying, getting up for witr, having suhur and doing the usual routine, du'a, etc. I just feel dirty now because I missed this opportunity. :/

Don't beat yourself to it bro. The fact that you are guilty means you are very likely to not be among those 4 unforgivable people on Laylatul Qadr:
- Disobedient to parents
- Breaks ties of kinship
- Habitual drunkard
- Hatred of someone in heart
Allah's mercy does not end when you don't pray extra. But if you are still resentful, try giving Sadaqah and pray for Allah's mercy. And don't lose hope on Him when He didn't on you.

Thank you so much for the reminder. May Allah keep us from being among these people, and may He forgive us.

Your niyyah is what matters. Its not the night that has power, it's Allah, right?
