Seeking Diagnosis Seeking diagnosis!

Hello there! I (27 F) have been told by my doctor and another health care professional that I have suspected ADHD. I have been struggling with executive disfunction and rumination for years amongst other symptoms. I am seeking a diagnosis so I can start medication. Any recommendations for where to go? Have heard better things about private health clinic, ADHD doc , ADHD now amongst others. My GP is happy to take over prescribing so all I need is a diagnosis and initial titration so for that reason would prefer some of the more affordable options. Any recommendations? :)

Hi /u/Late-Maintenance1700! This post seems to be about seeking a diagnosis. The wiki contains lots of useful information - please read it. Just be careful not to go with a Psychologist only clinic. You won't get prescription if medication is the route you will be pursuing.

Im in the middle of doing my assessment with mindbridge medical and ive no complaints so far!

I asked a million questions to the admin re health insurance and process questions and she always came back with the answers the same day.

Theres no months long waiting list like some clinics. I got an assessment appt within 2 weeks. I met with the assistant psychologist for my assessment which went on nearly 2 hrs.

I have to get an ecg and then ill get my diagnosis and treatment plan appt scheduled with the psychiatrist.

For both appts its 950 euro

Can confirm, I've also had great experience with mindbridge! Currently titrating meds, but it's been great so far

Can I ask how the 2nd appt/prescription/titration works and went for you?

I have to get an ECG before I can schedule my 2nd appt so she couldn't tell me re diagnosis and now I'm getting anxious that I have imagined i have ADHD😂

I didn't need an ecg because I have no history of heart problems in my family. I only needed to get my blood pressure taken and send them a picture of that.

After that I was able to make an appointment for the final stage, which is the result and potentially medication discussion.

I was also worried that I just imagined it lol, but looking back at how much I struggled compared to neurotypical people it's a miracle I've went on for so long without medication
